My family is using 4 year old Android phones I bought for $129 each (xiaomi Mi4C.). They're all using Android 7.0 with the 2018 security updates and same UI as Android P phones.
There's absolutely no reason to replace them (SD808 on 3GB). Chinks basically update phones as long as Apple but they don't throttle or slow them down. Those phones came with MIUI7 and each update through 8 9 and 10 only made the phone faster and better.
how does that justify old android phones getting no updates?
