I like Mate too, but I consolidate both toolbars into one toolbar on the bottom, so it reminds me of the greatest operating system of all time, Windows 7.

Dunno if it counts yet as distro hopping but a long while back I got this free old imac from around 10 years ago that someone was gonna recycle (figured I'd save it) and I've only tried manjaro and xubuntu on it. Only tried stuff with xfce because I read that was better for older hardware?
