I personally just got a clara hd its really easy to open it up and upgrade the memory you just have to clone the sd card it has inside and then expand it using something like easeus you can go up to 128 gigs.

>buy kindle
>dont register and wifi
>turn on airplane mode
>pirate books and convert them to azw3 or KFX for more font options.
>put all your converted books in the kindle
>read all your books for free
For the best kindle experience.

Where are you from?

USA. Found some Reddit post where they said to ask support and it worked.

>Pajeet: As you're located inside the US, usually you'll be charged $20 for removing the special offers from the Kindle, In order to help you as an onetime exception I'll remove the special offers for free of cost.

Why not get a cheap used Surface tablet instead? There's a lot of them out for very low costs. I imagine they're solid for reading books.

Thoughts on the Kobo Aura h2o edition 2?

Correct. If you live in some pleb-country where you cannot buy books from the amazon shop, you can just call them and ask to disable the ads. But with americans this option probably will not work.

this device can last up to a week on with no charging the ink emulates books really well if you ask me. I haven't personally used tablets but when I tried reading books on my phone it gave mer some serious eye strain which the ereader hasn't.

Open Dyslexia font or bust.

What's the battery life of the Likebook Mars 6"?

>buy kindle with OLD software
>jaibreak
>use throwaway abamzon account
>update to newest software
>reactivate jaibreak after updates
>use pirated books
>use plugins that work on jailbreak
>use airplane mode if you want to dodge botnet.

People say reading comics on like book isn't as good as Kindle because of after image. Can anyone comment on that.

It's been shown in studies it doesn't help dyslexic peoples reading speed.

Tannenberg. :^)

Can you like comment this a bit clearer?
I can only imagine that the way the print it may be so inaccurate that the e-ink display manages to display it better.
They do it with three runs I think, populating the page for the different intensities of the color compnents and there may be slight misalignments.
Beware though, I didn't do a second worth of research and pulled this out of my bum based off the fact that I know they used to print with these little dots in different densities.

Paperwhite 3 or 4?

I got a Kobo after my Paperwhite broke after 6 months of use. It does the job for ebooks. I buy books on Amazon and de-DRM them with Calibre. I use a cheap Android tablet for PDFs.

I heard 4 has worse contrast due to additional glass layer on screen

It's fantastic. Comfy af.

Why buy at all?

I often can't find 0-day ebook releases for certain books.

Lithium on Android is pretty good.

Nah, it's fine, especially if you use Kindle Comic Converter and read it with the stock Boyue reader. There's slightly more ghosting with Tachiyomi because it was never optimized for e-ink, but since you can't run that on Kindle anyways, it's hardly a strike against it.

Understandable.

Where's this 6" likebook mars? I can't find anything on it on google

PS Challenger Viewer works pretty well too since most of the time I can't be bothered with conversion

Is there a good but cheap e-reader that just lets me read books and manga without being tied to an online store?
A good screen would be cool, but I don't need stuff like apk support.

does it have built-in dictionary?

name an app with best built-in dictionary (with small window pop up with selected word instead of opening a new window) while reading

Not that I know of, I think FBReader might have had one

Should I get a likebook mars with 7.8" screen or a xiaomi mi pad with a 10.1" screen if I want to read manga?

E-readers are a meme. Get a Mi Pad 4/4 plus

It is not required but a larger screen would help a lot.

You buy the Amazon Fire HD 10 for a hundred bucks and use the money you saved to buy the Likebook

>It's been shown in studies it doesn't help dyslexic peoples reading speed.
It helps comprehension, not reading speed.
