Is ryzen 7 still good ?
Is ryzen 7 still good ?
Define good
Usable in 2018
yes
>implying Rizen was ever any good
Wondering how Ryzenfags are enjoying their Premiere crashes.
Ryzen 7 is like Intel i7, it's a model number instead of a generation. Newest currently available Ryzen 7 is good and in a few months there will be a better Ryzen 7. Asking if it's "still" good makes me assume you're talking about the first generation.
cope
Absolutely. Thanks to 8 cores/16 threads you can install Gentoo faster than ever before.
No, it's pretty old now. AMD just deprecated it.
Yes it is. But a new generation of Ryzen 7 is around the corner, to be revealed early January.
ryzen 7 is good.
working perfectly fine
*crashes*
yfw it never crashed.
which ryzen 7? retard
>using garbage software like premiere
LOOOOOOOOOOOOL
why don't you use some real editing software? hell even kdenlive is fucking better. and that's sad.
>he bought the 500$ Jewish ryzen
It was never good. Poozen was, is and always will be a budget option for those who can't afford an Intel chip. Sorry if this is upsetting to anybody, but we all know it's true.
Shill alert!
Shill alert!
>implying I bought it when it was $500
Should I still wait on buying a cpu even though I don't plan on buying the new ryzen ones?
Loaded question, it's a bit like asking "when did you stop beating your wife"
The question is, was ryzen 7 ever any good?
No matter when you bought it I doubt it was a better choice than a 1700.
First gen was. Second gen is a bit of a disappointment, but you can only expect so much without a node shrink. Third gen is going to be tight tho.
mfw I bought it when it was cheaper than a 1700
Yes. Intel will inevitably lower the prices so then you have more options to choose from.
>Mfw got my 1600 for free
stay mad intelfags
>premiere
what distro is that?
>using trash software
>being proud of having a career in content creation
>3.0 GHz
wut?
The 1700 is a 65w TDP part and as such has low base clocks. Flipside is it has a large boost range (goes to 3.7ghz single core turbo).
>still using adobeshit
SEETHING
premiere is one of the worst editors for video, you should not ever have started using it..
alright, just checked.
I mistaken it with the 1700x
based and redpilled
Literally have worked in video production for the past 8 1/2 years. I have worked with Premiere pro, final cut pro, Vegas (which is by far the worst), divinci and a few other programs too shitty to even remember. Premiere is by far the most feature rich and intitutive to use. And before you call me a shill I have never purchased a copy in my life and don't recommend anyone do so.
They probably aren't, since it's niche software anyway.
Kek. Premiere crash faggot again.
First, stop being a faggot,
Second, stop using piece of shit software that crashes all the time
Third start making actual money if you really are "content creator".
????
Profit
No it isn't, lol
What's better
ur mom
Yeah I used my 1600x for a year before going to a 2700x this year it was good but ipc was lacking
Hopefully ram prices drop and zen2+ gets ddr5 6400 out of the box
based and redpilled
Zen2+ will still be DDR4 I guess
A shame because Ddr4 3200 and under is a pretty big bottleneck
Zen 3 and 4 will be the big boi ddr5
Actual filmmaker here, as in I do it for a living.
I use premiere on Ryzen and have never had a crash.
Reality doesn't matter
lmao no one on Jow Forums actually uses premier so as long as I post lies about it crashing in literally every thread people will believe me
i'm sure AM5 will launch pretty close to whenever DDR5 hits the market
2020s can't come soon enough I'm ready
2700x will hold me well until then
SEETHING
Premiere crashed my i5 760, i5 2500k, i5 4690k, FX 8350, R7 1700, i7 6700k, and r7 2700x. Its shit.
Premier crashes on everything, though.
It's good compared to similarly priced intel CPU in multithreaded tasks.
>99% of people use Premiere because they are all content creators.
Nobody gives a shit and those that use it will be fully aware of it's shortcomings and know that CPU choice matters not when it comes to it 'crashing'.
Meme poster is convincing nobody.
