Mention old laptop

>mention old laptop
>someone suggests playing games on it

>Try selling an old laptop for like $20 people ringing me asking if it can play games

>"look at user's ugly black box of a laptop!"
>"g-guys, please stop. It's a work machine from 2004 that lets me do work"
>"can it run GTA V?"
>"... no."
>"lmao user you're such a fag ha ha"

Tbh brought it on myself bringing pic related to high school - needed a laptop, couldn't afford one, used my dad's hand me down. Used it for 2 or 3 years, bought a shitty HP two years back, then bought another, newer thinkpad this year.

Why would you use Windows? That shit sucks.

I had to use Windows because of the nature of some of the high school exercises, chose XP because it ran well. Haven't used windows since

I would never forsake my freedom.

You'd fail a class over some delusional freedom?

Yes. Freedom is more important than convenience.

I don't think convenience =/= failing a class

Nice double negative. Did you even go to school?

There's plenty of games worth playing on any pc made in the last 10 years.

Yes, but I am not 13, so I don't care about toys.

Dumb frogposter.

>last 10 years
Try last 15-20+ bro - the SWAT series, the OG Ghost Recon, Oregon Trail, Doom, STALKER: Shadow Of Chernobyl, the original Battlefront, and so on

...

I wanted to graduate first. I obtained some shitty Toshiba Satellite from a friend my senior year that I fucked around with, got a new distro every week or two, but my daily driver was that R52

>I wanted to graduate first
Because you don't value your freedom.

The point was new games are performance demanding, no fucking shit it can run older games.
*sips*
All my favorite RPGs are from 2000s for example +a few made in late 90s.

>mention laptop
>someone suggests that it's a 10/10

have you considered using it as an emulation device?

You can make having Windows compulsory? WOW

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
this is why I use windows

>implying there are any good games made in the last 10 years that wouldn't run on an old laptop that already runs games from 10 years ago

Installing windows 98 on a old computer as we speak. Wanted to run old software that is 3.11 or 95 compatible. Didn’t want to have compatibility issues. Gonna be crushing through archive.org software catalog. And yes some gaming may done there to.
