>calling 1920x1080 "1080p"
>using tv aspect ratios for your computer
>calling 1920x1080 "1080p"
That's literally what it means though.
>literally
no
Below a screen size of around 100 inches, you won't notice the difference between 1080 and 2160p content.
>not being part of the 4K masterrace
I'm still using a 720p TV. It's not like there was actually TV content for 1080p or above anyway.
>displaying 1080P signal on a 4k panel
Found your problem, nigger.
Nice CPU and GPU temperatures. Surely worth all the 4K goodness.
sorry im poor
>you need to consume! buy the newest shiny thing, goyim!
video nerds on avs forum swore to me i should hang on to my plasma since nothing better has come out yet. i finally saw a sale on a sony 4k lcd 65" and it looks fan fucking tastic. so sharp, punchy and colorful. no regrets.
>falling for le 4k meme

>103 fucking degrees
*zooms past you* It's all about 8k now. Back to the nursing home, gramps.
Nice blur, winfaggot.
>Why make one pixel out of one pixel when you can make one pixel out of four pixels?
This. Shaming people who having a "lesser" product than you have helps no one, you're basically a shill for technologies.
nope
>tfw my dad fell for the 4k meme despite only watching 576i MPEG2 garbage
1080 is the height, "p" is for progressive and should be followed by a framerate
ex. "1080p60" or "720i50"
Um yes, buy the newest and most expensive graphics card you can afford.
honestly can't say there's that much of a difference between 4k and high-bitrate 1080p movies on 27" 4k. It's not that noticeable. I find the difference to be huge for all kinds of computer desktop use, though, my old 27" 1080p monitor seems horrible in comparison.
>being autist
Are your eyes really that bad?
>have two monitors
>one is 1920x1080
>other is 1600x900
>prefer to use the 1600x900 one for games and just put my terminal or web browser on the 1920x1080
1920 is 2019 scrambled
I've used a 1280x1024 monitor until 2017 and only made the switch to 1920x1080 because I got a new computer
I'd still be using the same monitor if newer graphics card came with vga/dvi
The human eye can't see more than 1366x768. Enjoy your placebo resolutions
My eyes are fine, hows your brain doing?
Wrong. The human eye can't see more than 640x480
So Terry was right afterall?
I still use 1200x900.
terry was always right, since he was only a mouthpiece for god's divine intellect.
>Using a digital resoulution that your eyes are physically incapable of properly witnessing under pretty much any normal circumstances, then going on the internet to try to start a pissing contest.
BTFO bitch nugget.
8/10 decent troll
So what's better? 1080p at 144hz or 1440p at 60hz?
My desktop monitor's a 20" 1680x1050 display. Now that I'm building a new machine I'm getting a 21:9 curved monitor
for games 144hz definitely imo.
The best thing you can do currently if you have the money is get a 4k 144hz monitor, that way you can browse on your desktop at 4k and play games at 1080p or 1440p closer to 144fps
Ok I'm on a budget atm so I'll stick with a lower resolution.
jokes on you, i am on 1366x768.
