macOS does animated wallpaper now? Welcome to 1998.
please be gentle
upgrade to 10 already
but I like windows 8.1
Don't fall for Jow Forums memes. You shouldn't worry about services like discord because they steal your data (as long as you aren't retarded and actually give away important info). I always give out people fake names, pictures of "myself" (which I usually find on the internet and then crop them) as well as my location. I'm well aware that such services are able to track me using my IP address, cookies etc.. But I don't actually do anything wrong/nothing I should really be ashamed of.
But if you just hand out people private information that ACTUALLY belongs to you then I'm sorry for u pal...
Actually, it was a thing on OSX for ages. It's just that no one bothered developing a program such as gifpaper that actually made it simple to handle GIFs as wallpapers or something like this: github.com
Muh minimalism.

Get the arcade one instead.

double yikes
what's this? OwO
Why do you have a hamburger menu in the top left of your Windows?
he's american
It's a start button that opens a start menu that is superior to the Windows 8 start screen.
Does it have jump lists?
>doesn't recognize the default android start button
You're the burger and you've also never had anything in your hand that doesn't run IOS.
Taskbar buttons have jump lists. Jump lists inside menus is just autism. It literally takes the same amount of clicks to run a program then open its jumplist than to click on the expand jumplist button and clicking again for the file the program should open with.
That isn't Android, and in Android that's the menu button and is often called burger menu because of how it's shaped and how Google doesn't give these things reasonable names.
>open Excel then use jump list
Great, now I have a blank sheet plus the one I wanted to open. Plus I had to move my mouse from the top to the bottom to get to the jump list.
>open Excel sheet through jump list like in 7
Jump list appears right next to the Excel start menu item, and only that sheet opens.
>I'm so fucking lazy I prefer to move my hand as little as possible
+ if you pin the fucking program to the taskbar you can use its jumplist before the program opens, JFC, going through such great lengths to justify your "I'm sticking with Windows 7" autism is literally making me sick to my stomach! I bet you are at least 300 pounds!
>open Excel
>get gun
>head gone
Only logical chain of events
that's a real nice setup, what are you running?
People with jobs want to do things efficiently and with less effort. Windows 7 had this part right so why replace it with something objectively worse? Of course 7 is obsolete now and 8.1 and 10 have worse start menus, but there's Classic Shell.
The problems go on
>wasting even more vertical space on an ultrawide screen
>moving titlebars of maximized windows down from the top, which breaks everyone's muscle memory of slamming the mouse to the top right corner and clicking to close
What are you nuts? Windows 10 is the bees knees.
>what's aero snap and win+arrow
>what's alt+tab
>arguing that muscle memory is a thing even though whenever you sit at a different computer with a different DPI mouse and different resolution you can't rely on it
>what's alt+f4
I work with two documents at the same time, fetching information from six to eight different windows on the regular. I work faster than the entire office I'm employed at and my skills are not dependent on one very specific, cherry picked set of I/O.
You should've begun your entire argument with "I as a NEET have the following opinion about workflow:".
> Yusef Lateef
Absolutely based
this fucking abomination again
Regardless of mouse speed it's easier to click a corner of the sceen than anywhere else on it.
You keep telling me it sucks, I keep ignoring you for not being specific.
kawaii~~

not me before this time, i just keep fucking seeing this desktop. everything here is awful. i can't even be specific on what is bad because everything there is horrible. the skeuomorphism everywhere hurts to look at, that font is nasty, there's zero consistency anywhere, even default windows looks better than this. this looks like someone just discovered rainmeter. i will give you're not as bad as , though
"new" x220, still deciding on stuff for the top bar
I discovered Rainmeter over 6 years ago, so everything you see on the screen I'm directly responsible for since I coded it that way. I needed condensed, normal and monospace font types with a full unicode character set so different people using more than just the baby sized english alphabet could read their own moon runes (my primary language alone has 42 letters), the fonts needed to be readable at 8pt, and their licenses needed to allow me to redistribute them with no strings attached.
Months of searching went by for fonts meeting all these requirements, I didn't exactly have a large selection.
>coded
also time spent =/= quality
What do you guys think of wmaker?
>I'm OK for companies violating people privacy, because I give them fake info
that's a bad attitude.
oh... wait... you're pic related, OK then, carry on then, you, stupid piece of shit.
If it's not a natural language with a sentence structure, it's code. Instead of running your mouth you could show me your smug superior attitude at work and find me a better font fulfilling all the aforementioned requirements. I won't hold my breath.
suck my cock dude
So you're only good at running your mouth, noted, opinion discarded.

But why would you want to use shit programs like discord. It's worse than the alternative, PLUS it is a botnet.
The overwhelming majority of discord users either don't know or don't care. Everyone should jump ship to IRC.
/gnoming/
What's that book?
The absolute worst version of Ghosts 'n Goblins.
Been learning
why do you like bottomless so much
Desktops are a thing of the past. It's all about background VR environments these days, like the Microsoft Beach House.
Waste of electricity, using a desktop works just fine without GPU load being 99~100% all the time. VR is just a meme gimmick fad.
>lolicons
ifu want to see innovative and moving desktop culture click the x onn Jow Forums and go to reddit imo
tummies are cute, a slight view of cunny is also great
tummies are the cutest
>Waste of electricity
Don't worry, user. It's not like the electrons are going anywhere. They're trapped on this planet just like you.

autism tier.
based red hat pepe, gonna try CentOS 8 if it comes before Debian 10. I'm not a fan of fast updates.
good to see not all of Jow Forums hates gnome. Is not as bad as they make it out to be. I tried installing a kde minimally, but I had to install way too much for dependencies on debian, and is pretty buggy. And outside of kde and gnome no desktop environment offers application search by default. Which is faster than looking apps by category.
It uses around 100MB+ than plain openbox but the funcitonality is worth it. battery and cpu usage is practically the same.
m8 linux desktops are extremely resource light. I idle at 1.4% CPU and 250mB RAM
I'm very sure that not even Linux could save me at this point. I had my pc freeze up cause I was drawing something while having steam and chrome open.
Wallpaper sauce?
what was the artists name again desu i meant to look him up yesterday but forgot
its an x220
i'd recommend dash to dock from the gnome store and follow this video it just shows you how to install loads of icon packs and themes youtube.com
unless your hardware is dying then a light linux like debian will save you
