I was in an argument with my friend, about the fastest firing machine gun used. I think, that there is some faster firing machine gun, than the German MG-42.
The rules are simple.
The gun I am looking for must:
Have fire rate faster than 1200 RPM
Can be used as infantry weapon, tank or airplane or even helicopter mounted weapon.
And be actually made (no prototypes)

Most aircraft mounted autocannons have a much higher rate of fire, ~4000rpm.

I found an answer but it was so easy that I'll let you find it out yourself. Just look up machine gun on wikipedia (unless you don't deem it trustworthy enough, if that's the case I have no answer).
