OP here, note 9 is my first Samsung so I hope it lasts me a decent time, but I was using my HTC m8 pretty much since release day until last month when I finally switched to the note

I don't know how they actually break. My guess is water damage from sweat. He is autistic with his phone and won't let me help him with it. My Boomer dad started ranting about software updates when Google drive was asking him to recover his password because it was old version and never used wifi so it never auto updated. People are too ignorant even to use phones correctly

How? This phone is completely overrated. Why does it get so much praise? I'm constantly thinking about how i can get rid of it and break even, and I only got it 2 weeks ago. Shit OS, shit hardware button placement, can't use phone completely independent of nav bar, mediocre speakers (and apparently this is meant to be one of the better Samsung galaxy speakers). Good screen though.

The stylus is godlike for taking photos. You hold the phone in one hand and just frame your shot and then click the stylus. It's so much faster than tapping the phone and you get no movement.

Is this the one that you have to connect to your pc every time the phone restarts? I already got bxactions but it's fucking up, e.g. single press command only works with double press

Plus you can mount the phone on a tripod and take pictures of yourself without resorting to selfies. No more 10 second timers to beat as you run back and strike your best blue steel, praying that the photos come out right.

I dunno, you just pop out the stylus and write on the screen and hit share. it's pretty intuitive and fast. Do you need it, no. But it's pretty nifty.

At least in my country, the note 8 still holds its price so the difference is like 100-150 euros between the two.
