I've been thinking about Lubuntu but im not sure. Any recommendations?
Lighweight distros

Lubuntu, Xubuntu, and Bodhi are good, from my experience.
whatever happened to that #!++ thing?
Crunchbang is gone. It's bunsenlabs now.
OP, use Debian if you want it to be easy
Q4OS
i know crunchbang died but someone made a successor (not arch) and i honestly don't see how that couldn't be one install script away from fresh debian anyway.
Looks comfy, think im gonna install it. Thanks user, have a wallpaper in return.
The latest LXQt Lubuntu is bretty good but I wouldn't call it lightweight.
MX linux is the best bet
he literally said the name of the new district in the post you replied to.
Xubuntu
That's not the right answer though, that might be more useful though.

No idea, I never used either.
crunchbang++ is not the successor to crunchbang, it’s bunsenlabs. crunchbang++ was made by a different team/person.
but its ++
MX is a piece of shit
Arguments
Bunsenlabs is the successor to crunchbang made by the same devs.

slackware
Literally AntiX
Q4os also has a xp look, I think it's on sourceforge.
Windows embedded standard
install gentoo
why not slackware
I think you can tinker it to become to most lightweight of modern day linuxes
(it wont be small sized with its 10GB install but thats not the point and I doubt hdd space is the real issue here)
install lxde into this slackware and it will start to function quite fast even in a 1.8GHz dual core intel CPU from 2006
it will require merely 512MB of RAM and you would be able to browse Jow Forums with this
Im gonna keep that in mind, but for now i installed Q4OS and it works good. Thanks anons.
