Phone sizes have been getting out of hand over the last few years, this is the only way to increase the screen size without increasing the device dimensions. Underlying reason is that it creates a striking visual difference between the old and the new phone, making it seem that the new one is much better and you need to upgrade.

There's literally nothing wrong with a small notch. What it does it elevate your system icons into the bezel and STILL give you an 18:9 ratio. It doesn't take away any of the screen you dumb retards.
