Google is the best search engine. It gives us the best results and has the most simple homepage ever, You just type what you want and BAM, you find exactly what your looking for.

Actually no, it's not. And it's been getting shittier and shitter. It keeps blatantly ignoring whole words even when I specify for it to force-look for them. Results are biased as fuck and the highest bidders get preferential treatment Maybe if you're one of those retards who look up whole sentences like "how do i get my cat out of the roof" or shit like that sure, but for specific, niche terms it blows.

The UI is cluttered and constantly changing. Features are always being hidden or removed. Results have only gotten worse since ~2008, when they made geolocaiton mandatory, and decided that content filtering was an important part of the search process.

I'm not Jewish but I really don't care that Gabe is. They've got themselves a pretty nice alternative to Google and for the most part, it works. Can always fall back on searx and do some scripting once or if DDG fails.

Google is okay for text search depending on what you look for. The image search is fucking terrible though. Especially the reverse image search. I don't know what they've done to it over time, but holy fuck is it a pile of steaming dog shit now.
