best way to encrypt and password protect a flashdrive?
Flash drive encrypter
Veracrypt
Next time use
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
Like, "Next time use "
Nobody responds to genuine questions on sqt though, they only respond to shitposters to give them (you)s
literally this I've asked serious questions across multiple tpgs and sqts and they always go unanswered or get non-serious answers. at least by making a thread i'll get at least on guaranteed serious answer and maybe start a conversation in the process.
LUKS
Get one of those waterproof drives and shove it up your butt. Nobody is going to steal that unless they really really want that data.
On the possitive, you are now technically a cyborg, on the negative you're a fag because you stick shit up your butt, but you cant win em all eh?

Get a crypto flash drive
XOR the data on it with a randomly generated passphrase with a length equal to the length of your data.
Hardware encryption is probably backdoored
Thanks user, I was searching something like this to hide and encrypt my japanese cartoon porn
LUKS and LVM. Choose a very long password and no one will ever know it's encrypted unless they plug it into a linux box and it explicitly tells them
tpg is good if you arent looking for buying advice. there are so many shills for whatever model they have that its a bit ridiculous
dmcrypt + luks/lvm. format the LVs as ext3 or f2fs
Got the exact USB as pic related in 2012 and it still werks
LUKS for everything
It's just like
and only porn and suicidial people gets fucking (you)s
Software level encryption is not any better
I do sometimes.
No one ever thanks me though.

>t. legitimate retard
leave it empty and giggle as the cops try to sector scan a blank volume.
>mfw they manage to dredge up something incriminating out of noise
looks like fucking cancer.
> Software level encryption is not any better
how so? i think anything is better than using something that looks as crackable as a combination bike lock (and possibly backdoored by toshiba).
thank you, user.
truecrypt hidden volume
Encryption done using open source software can be audited. You can't do that with hardware encryption done by proprietary firmware.
