The monitor doesn't have HDR so using g-sync HDR would be a waste. HDR monitors at high refresh and resolution would cost like 2k usd anyway, fuck that.

Because it's a good size if you want more desktop space, not less space and more scaling. It's usable without using blurry scaling that breaks some apps, or sitting 6 inches from the screen.
