Go to infinity chan and tell the dev. He learned programming with this thing so it is probably a simple oversight. Just take a look at how many shitty libraries are included and you can imagine what a mess that program is.

There isn't. This program was made to download from all boorus/sites available and combine the tags from those sources. And also to host galleries that were aggregated that way. This program isn't for you if you want it to tag your images automatically because that functionality is only present if someone else already tagged the same image and you have his tag repo added to the program.
As far as i'm aware only one such repo exist in public and that is the one he tells you in the tutorial to add.

Also, the program has it's own internal way to import images, just like itunes hides their shit.

xnview will slow down to a crawl when it comes to loading up many too many files in 1 folder, would take 12-15 minutes just to load up my HDD's on different PC's. Shit would be perfect if it wasn't for this flaw, its the same for a lot of these other closed source image viewers.
