USA T-Mobile $600 Want smallest body size of phone No Sony No OLED meme Easy root/custom ROMs
John Ross
If you buy Sony in 2019 you're dumber than iToddlers
Joshua Kelly
>buy 18:9 phone >too wide for 16:9 >too short for 21:9 >literally fucking useless aside from fucking youtube videos
Isaac Flores
Mi Mix 2S
Josiah Smith
Eagerly waiting for XZ4C news.
Adrian Scott
what do you lads think of the XZ2 compact
currently using an S9+ but its too fucking big
William Sanchez
>Want smallest body size of phone >No OLED meme >Easy root/custom ROM >sub $600 >No Sony when the XZ2 Compact is literally all that
Fuck your carriers, though.
Jayden Robinson
What case to get with a Pocophone? Considering the Ruby Red Ringke thingy.
Joshua Ramirez
Best poorfag option in the UK lads? Currently trying to decide between Honor View 10, Honor 8X, Honor Play, and Xperia XA2. Can find them all for
Jaxson Bennett
Based Waiting for the next Compact to replace this Z1C
Jacob Nguyen
Anons I need help.
My phone broke and I´m trying to extract all the data. Problem is I cannot connect the mobile to the computer because the USB mode is stuck on charge only. It is an Android and the USB debugging was not habilitated. Am I fucked lads? Or there is something I can do?
Jonathan Wright
I don't like it honestly, I find 19:9 being the optimal ratio for me. 21:9 is far too wide when watching videos in landscape.
Angel Cooper
This more than anything, love my note 8 but i miss small phones.
>Best poorfag option in the UK lads? Not getting a phone on a plan. If you can't outright buy the redmi note 5/6, go with the Honor 8X.
Wyatt Roberts
Redmi Note 7
Lincoln Perry
Anything to look out for when buying used phones besides the obvious like charging it, checking the IMEI and generally using it for 5-10 minutes? I'm in the sub-100$ range in my country and all the brand new options are dogshit with 1gb of RAM. Some dude is selling a Redmi A5 within my budget and so far that looks like the better option. I will check the serial number online to make sure it's not a fake
Ryder Reed
How much is your budget? Because you can buy a new chinkphone from aliexpress
Jeremiah Young
>recently upgraded from Nexus 6 to pixel 3 >didn't do my research >found out Google has jewed me with no headphone jack and usb-c to usb-c cable Boy, I sure feel stupid and angry right now.
Christopher Ramirez
Sub 100, ideally sub 80 converted to my regional currency (Mexico), my old phone stopped turning on overnight and it doesn't appear to work. Honestly fixing this piece of shit Alcatel phone isn't worth it so I'm looking to at least get something better. Some dude is selling a Redmi A5 for a reasonable price, so I'm just wondering how to make sure it's not fake. He doesn't have the original box so I can't check the SN on the Mi website. Can phones fake CPU-Z results? that seems like the easiest, fastest way to make sure it's legit.
Sebastian Davis
Wsup yall, tryna buy a Huawei Nova 4 or Honor View 20. Everything I can find is $50-100+ over the MSRP. Going to be using this phone in Canada. Am I safe buying the Chinese version now, or should I wait a month for the global release and hope prices fall to around MSRP?
Logan James
What's the rush? I'm waiting for View 20 global
Jacob Bailey
I'm coming from a ZTE Axon 7 thats going to shit the bed any day now.
I heard the global version is being bundled with the honor watch at 200 USD more than the China version. I'd rather not buy the watch.
I suppose I can wait another month, but what exactly will I be waiting for?
Joseph Wright
what email client do you use, my phone has only gmail
Austin King
>I heard the global version is being bundled with the honor watch at 200 USD more than the China version. What other kinds of fucked up deals you have in Canada?
Seriously are you just making that shit up to justify early purchase? Don't want the watch don't buy it and wait for a global and possible price drop.
Robert Gomez
anyone here running their glass back phone without any protection? >what model >how long >did you ever drop it >are there scuffs, scratches etc got p20 and dont want to use the case, but i only used plastic phones before so i dont know what to expect

Couldn't tell whether to post here or /stg/ - What exactly is Touchjizz on samsung phones? Is it simply a launcher or something much more than that? My understanding is that a launcher is pretty much an app that runs your homescreen. If Touchjizz is that, can't you just replace the launcher with Nova and be done with it?
Adam Williams
>Is it simply a launcher yes. it got bad rep because samsung phones were always lagging. even the top of the line galaxy s models. samsung diched touchwiz with s8 i think and replaced it with grace ui. it is basically the same shit but much improved. but if you ask me lagg isn't an issue since s7. sure it sometimes animation wil look jiggly but all the features make up for it. all things considered it is probably best android skin > can't you just replace the launcher with Nova and be done with it? you can't change everything with nova and if you decide to use it you will get inconsistent user interface and appart from looking ugly you will not notice difference in speed
this all applies only if you plan to get s7 or newer galaxy s
Christopher Rivera
As someone who likes Sony and has a Z5 and looking to get a XZ1 since it's their last phone to have a headphone jack (which I find important), why do you say this?
Isaiah Reed
i don't
Bentley Fisher
anybody use cricket as a provider? how is it?
Nathaniel Sullivan
>My understanding is that a launcher is pretty much an app that runs your homescreen. It's goes deeper than just the launcher. Menus, additional features, gestures, apps and shortcuts are mostly different than what stock Android has and a simple change of the launcher will only affect a small portion of it. Satan user here is right when he tells you that "Touchjizz" hasn't been a thing since the S7, and though the current iteration is far from the best Android modification, I'd choose it over the shitfest that is the modern stock Android.
Ryan Bennett
I'm thinking of picking up a OnePlus 6T. I've read reviews but what's your hands on impressions? My friends are trying to peer pressure me into an IPhone xr but I haven't bought an IPhone yet, and thinking about their quality especially for the price, is giving me cold feet.
Where are user's buying their One plus 6's at if the main site is out of stock, and Amazon is going through 3rd party vendors.
Isaiah James
I just wrote an insanely long response to you but accidentally refreshed the page and lost it so I'll give the summary.
Been using the iphone since the 4 and I got tired of it getting slow super quickly and I talked to my friend (cs dude) about some recommendations and he showed me his 3t which was running faster than my less than half a year old iphone so I gave my mah the iphone and got the 6t and it's been dope.
It fucking flys dude above else. Never lag, never force close, never freeze, never hiccup it just fucking flys.
If you worried about photo quality, my friend showed me that people have ported the google camera from the pixel app over to the 6t and dude these fucking photos. There are video comparisons on youtube but the short of it is it looks just as good as the pixel (except for the low light, but that should be fixed as people work on the port), it just comes down to preference with the pixel photo coloring leaning cooler (think blues) and 6t photo coloring leaning warmer (think amber). It's pretty fucking crazy.
And your friends definitely just want you to have face time like my friends did. Download google duo and invite them. It's the same thing plus you can leave video messages when they don't pick up (or whenever) which as been loads of fun in my circle.
Honestly I was afraid to leave the iphone but every time I pick up my phone I'm pleasantly surprised and I'm actually preferring it to iphone after getting used to it.
>And your friends definitely just want you to have face time like my friends did. Nah they just call me a dumb faggot and that I'm not getting the quality their IPhone has. I'm known for being a poor penny pinching jew; but hey coming from what you're saying it sounds like it's a no-brainer. If you wanna gush I'm totally down to hear it; but it seems pretty set in stone for me. This is gonna be quite the upgrade; I've been using the dinky cheapass MetroPCS phones until they break for the last 5 years or so; this is the first technological jump phonewise I'll be taking. I've been using the LG Aristo 2 up to this point. I'm gonna be picking up the 8GB Ram + 128 Storage model.
Absolutely the best phone you could buy for 50 bucks.
Tyler Lee
Many thanks user. I was gonna jump on it, but I still want a headphone jack and the 6T ditched it sadly.
Aiden Allen
There's also the Nokia 1 for 30 bucks but that looks like absolute dogshit. I don't mind paying 20 extra bucks for double the ram and 720p screen, even if I'm limited to lite. It will be a Facebook and Netflix phone pretty much so I don't need the fanciest stuff.
Joshua White
My Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is lagging. Would changing the ROM to another like Lineage OS helped? I never tinkering with my phone ever.
call them faggots for worrying about what phone someone else has and you're gonna love it my dude, especially coming from that, good luck bud
Asher Allen
just blast porn through the 6ts loud ass speaker like a true chad
Nathaniel Morgan
Anyone familiar with Aiwa stuff? Looks like the chinkiest of chinkphones. They aren't even on GSM Arena
Charles Roberts
Don't get the Nokia 1, the screen is terrible. If you want to watch movies on it 720 x 1280 is the bare minimum.
Daniel Martin
copped nokia 6.1 1045, what am i in for?
Landon Bell
i bought the xperia play thinking it would be decent enough for everyday use but meh. i'll stick with my current phone for that. what can i do with this? it came with ancient android 2.x installed on it
what's the best rom to install on it? does it have a cult following anywhere?
Eli Allen
also how do you download the PS1 games? just emulate it or is there a way to install the real deal
Looking to upgrade my ancient phones but out of the loop wrt display screens. What matters: >easy night time reading - ability to lower screen brightness a lot and good colour >good ppi >reliable long term - no red lines etc >ideally small < 5" but i'd be willing to comprimise this for best viewing quality
I had an old AMOLED (HTC desire) which i really liked but have been suffering with a TFT LCD which blinding even at the lowest setting. Leaning toward OLED as they're emissive not backlit
Additionally the phone must have: >3.5mm jack >no notch >4GB+ RAM >must be supported by lineage OS >z3 compact size would be perfect but i'm willing to forgo this >camera that can shoot high fps would be cool but not essential
I've found phones (used or new i don't mind) but that match one but one thing: >OP 3T Bigger than i'd like but i can accept as it meets everything else >Moto X4 Not sure about IPS LCD and battery life >Google Pixel Small battery >Lenovo P2 Camera doesn't seem as good as others and rare in the UK >Sony compacts IPS screens and potential loss of camera quality if installing ROM
Any other suggestions or your picks from those listed?
Angel Lewis
they will need to copy Samsung's One UI which is highly unlikely. Google needs to redo the UI for android for larger displays
Jayden Campbell
Call them dirty poorfags for recommending you a toy instead of the XS. Good gesture implementation, easy access to key features, customizability and multitasking that doesn't look like it came out of 2015. I used to be all about the stock experience and debloated roms, but by Nougat I realized it was seriously starting to lag behind in terms of user experience and the lagdroid bloat was no longer a thing with the power of modern hardware.
James Roberts
>and multitasking that doesn't look like it came out of 2015 Any examples?
Nicholas Hughes
Yeah, one of the games is bandori and the other is mirishita. How's the notch when playing those games? Is it still in fullscreen or do they cut it on the notch part?
Jaxson White
Same, got a Nokia 6.1 for €200
Josiah Thomas
Only with Pie has Google finally adopted the iOS-style recent apps screen that is much easier to navigate than the horrid vertical carousel, switching to split screen still needs optimizing and supports less apps compared to some other skins I've seen. God knows if and when they'll copy Xiaomi's solution that makes the most sense on modern screens with tall aspect ratios.
I see. Guessing no custom roms pull this off then?
Joshua Ross
planning to take advantage of the Best Buy sale and pick up the LG Stylo 4. Apparently its running 8.1 and not 9. I've never had an Android before is there any real issue with running the previous version or does it take a while before apps stop working?
You are the epitome of pathetic. Gay and fagpilled.
Thomas Perez
I can't honestly tell you as I've only used three custom roms in the last few years so I lack the scope. I only know Xiaomi.eu roms have it since they are based off MIUI. Also I can see Samsung implementing a similar solution in the future, it would play into their new ease of one-handed use perfectly. I think versions all the way down to 4.4 haven't been dropped yet, so you don't have to worry about that. What is more important is that the phone gets regular security patches.
How is Hauwei as a brand? I'm happy with my Note 9 phone but I'm in the market for a new tablet and it seems every major company in the US has given up on making decent Android tablets. I really don't want to spend $600 on a fucking Samsung tablet.
Jeremiah Butler
Best Buy has the Sony Xperia XA2 for the same price. Comes with a better CPU (SD 630 vs 450 in the Stylo), and Sony's support is historically better than LG's. Plus, the Xperia XA2 has good ROM support behind it.
Adrian Lee
Mi Pad 4
David Kelly
What's a good, cheap smartphone with a ton of storage? I just want to watch anime and read manga all day on my phone, but any phone with big storage usually costs way too much.
Levi Sanchez
Anything with a MicroSD slot
Aiden Barnes
Get a phone w/ microSD card support. Then dump anime/manga onto the microSD card. It's easier to transfer from phone to phone that way.
John Bailey
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I can't really buy a microSD card at the moment. I know they're cheap, but my budget just doesn't really allow it. That's why I typed a cheap smartphone, because I don't really have a good budget. Should've specified, sorry.
Carter Hughes
What is your budget? You realise you can get 64gb MicroSD for like $10 and 128gb for $20?
Where do you live? If in the US, Best Buy has a ton of phones on sale now for
Benjamin Diaz
My s7 edge is giving up the ghost. The pink line keeps reappearing, and while it will go away if I press the corner of the device, it will reappear after I put it back in my pocket.
The battery appears to be dying quickly, and I've had a couple of random crashes which I had never had before.
Also, today I went to take a picture and found the glass on my camera lens was shattered. At least that's a really easy and cheap fix... still, I really liked this phone, but I feel like it's just crapping out all at once.
My carrier is Verizon and I dont really have a price point. Previously I was always happy with samsung but the pink line issue (and their lack of owning up to what seems to be purely an assembly issue) really has soured me on them. I'm just glad this phone has lasted as long as it has.
I've never had an LG, htc, or moto smartphone. Any model from them or anyone else out there that punches in the same weight and feature class as the s8 or s9 at a reasonable price?
Wyatt Powell
USA, but I just came here. >yes i'm an immigrant pls no bully, but I'm legal Thank you so much though.
Joseph Russell
>no Sony fucking nigger, Sony phones are great and nothing beats their compacts. Nothing.
Matthew Rodriguez
lol at amerishits who get cucked by their carriers this bad
Kayden Gray
Sony compacts will not lose image quality after Pie anymore. Not sure if it'll magically make older Compacts work fine with Pie, though.
