i work in auto body, i've done programming professionally in the past but i hate it so fucking much. again i love programming when it comes to independent stuff but there's not really a place for boomers like me in the industry anymore. shit like webdev is the only option left (unless you've already been in the industry for the shit i like doing for 15 years) and i can't stand it. i just don't even bother since i don't wanna kill any enjoyment i have left in programming. i watched the exact same thing happen to my dad and i'd rather not have it happen to me as well
