Only one of those is a sin, and I'll let that pass because of your pic.

I use Sublime Text in a commercial setting. I haven't bought a licence.

>I don't root my phone unless it's absolutely needed (ex.: to remove bloatware)

Rooting to remove bloatware is retarded. Just disable it in settings.

>inb4 "It doesn't let me" or "it re-enables"

Find the package name of the app. And then get ADB from here (developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools). The command "adb shell pm hide " should do it. If it doesn't let you, then "adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 " definitely will.

>t. autism

I code in python because machine learning is the new meme

>liking os x
i liked apple and os x specifically until jobs died, like i'm not saying that's the reason it went to shit but that's when it happened imo. good middle ground between the unix way of doing things yet still having compatibility with shit like the adobe products

>not programming as a career
i work in auto body, i've done programming professionally in the past but i hate it so fucking much. again i love programming when it comes to independent stuff but there's not really a place for boomers like me in the industry anymore. shit like webdev is the only option left (unless you've already been in the industry for the shit i like doing for 15 years) and i can't stand it. i just don't even bother since i don't wanna kill any enjoyment i have left in programming. i watched the exact same thing happen to my dad and i'd rather not have it happen to me as well

I still use nano and gedit to edit files.

cucked someone

I cucked a PHP dev by picking up his wife with my mad low level programming skills.
I'm not even joking.

I smoke.
I smoke at my desk.
I drink at my desk.
I puke at.my desk.
I ejaculate on and around my desk.

Kek even women don't respect web 'devs'.

>I still prefer Windows over Linux and (especially) Mac
Linux is a kernel, Mac(intosh) is a hardware brand.
>I don't root my phone unless it's absolutely needed (ex.: to remove bloatware)
So you do use Linux?

My only sin is that I didn't have enough money to get a night with Alina Like when she was escorting.

>When someone says they program in (for example) HTML, JavaScript, LUA, etc. I don't bother correcting them
Two of those aren't wrong. All scripting languages are programming languages, and the act of using them to create programs is called "programming." No one said a program has to use machine code.

Hey me too user

Not him but HTML is not a programming language.
But other than that you are correct. Usually you can use compiled languages as scripts too, if they have an interpreter or something too.

>Jow Forums sins
I would have to believe Jow Forums (the overly vocal part) had any moral standards to begin with.

I call GNU/Linux just linux, because this is how most world calls it.

Do you also call Android "Linux"?

I usually talk shit about every programming language that is not C or asm. I also mention POSIX compliance a lot and shit on whatever is not POSIX compliant.
The truth is I've never programmed in my entire life, and also I don't know what the fuck POSIX is.
Also I only use Linux for ricing and making others think that I'm good at computer stuff.

Dont talk shit about Notepad++ or this dog will FUCK YOU UP

Wintoddlers are so cringe.

>I turn off my computer every night
>I like systemd
>I never interject when people say Linux distro
>I use my laptop keyboard as a plate for toast when watching movies and just crush the crumbs by repeatedly pressing the button of which it is under
>I like xfce

most world don't even know that android uses linux kernel. So I call it android. It's not like GNU/Linux fags are calling android Android/Linux.
These pedantic fags really annoys me.

I just call them GNU and Android. Linux is just a kernel, so it shouldn't be used to refer to an entire OS.

but most of the world does refer to an OS
GNU/Linux or just GNU is circlejerking name
anyways, I think kernel is more important than GNU utilities
GNU is bloat

I duel boot Windows LTSB 2016 for games.

>GNU/Linux or just GNU is circlejerking name
No, it's accurate. The GNU project started the OS and simply added Linux to it. Adding a component does not fundamentally change the project. That is why Android is still Android and not just Linux. Google took Linux, which they are free to do, and added it to their OS.

not saying it's not accurate, but it is circlejerking, because compared to people who calls it just linux, you're minority.
it's like saying: snakes are poisonous, when referring to venomous snakes
be pedantic as much as you want, most people still won't care. And if you correct someone IRL, you'll be just weird pedantic user

I'd rather give the GNU project their due than be a normalfag.

>>I use my laptop keyboard as a plate for toast when watching movies and just crush the crumbs by repeatedly pressing the button of which it is under
hideous

Attached: 1532986283541.jpg (918x597, 216K)

The kernel *is* the OS.
The operating system is the part that interfaces with and control the hardware, along with low level functions.
The rest is userland software.
Stay buttmad.

>I'd rather give the GNU project their due than have the possibility to eventually have sex with someone

>being normalfag means you call it linux
you can be autistic in many things, doesn't mean that social interactions should be one of them

>The kernel *is* the OS.
No, it is a component of an OS. This isn't 1975 anymore.

but the good kind, user, how could you complain about this on/g/? that's your sin.

I'm completely satisfied with the machine i have at the moment.

>No, it is a component of an OS. This isn't 1975 anymore.
It *is* the OS. The rest is userland software, that speak to the kernel to perform tasks on the hardware.

Sorry computers weren't invented in the 2000's to match your millenial worldviews.

>I ejaculate around my desk.
This but unironically

You really have no idea what you're talking about if you think that. Where do you morons pick this shit up?

Clearly a pre-90s engineering book.

>I use my laptop keyboard as a plate for toast when watching movies and just crush the crumbs by repeatedly pressing the button of which it is under
Holy shit kill yourself

More like pre-80s. Probably someone with a cursory understanding of AT&T Unix.

Not him, but I remember Linus Torvalds using similar descriptions for OS's.

With that being said:
>The kernel *is* the OS
No. Just. No.

I use Gmail.

I own a Synology NAS

I dropped out of computer science and got a law degree instead

>The kernel *is* the OS.
That's a first time I've heard that.

Attached: bemused-cat.jpg (493x449, 43K)

i wrote a 90k loc react js app which consists of 9 components

>but I remember Linus Torvalds using similar descriptions for OS's.
I haven't heard that. He has always distinguished between Linux as a kernel and Linux as an OS, which is what he calls GNU.

>I dropped out of computer science and got a law degree instead
Similar to me:

I switched computer engineering to studio art so I could meet more girls. Ten years later, I'm an unemployed NEET; but at least I got laid.

>I could meet more girls.
In part the same reason as myself and also same result

Went from a male nerd dominated cohort to a female dominated cohort

Aced every graduate job interview throwing out my programming experience. They lap it up.
