Whoa... So this is the power of RTX

Whoa... So this is the power of RTX...

>RTX 2060 can run modern game in ultra 1080p with RTX high at 60FPS
RTX BAD!

Its prettt dope i am going to buy at launch and sell my gtx meme70

Vega can't do rtx and cost $500

Amd is fucking finished. This isn't GTX 2060 with raytracing. This is RTX 2060.

Seems that you don't understand how Jow Forums's mind thinks.
>Why can't I only pay for features that only I want
>if RTX 2060 costs $1.0X, RTX 2060 without RTX probably costs $0.5X
>help, Nvidia is making me pay for features I don't want! This is robbery!

Can you seethe any harder?

Attached: 1483099534225.png (1508x835, 259K)

All those guys are going to get murked by me with a 6 year old R9 290x 4gb with none of that memetracing technology in Battlefield or any other FPS.

Hardware is nothing if you don't have the skills to justify it

If they left out the RTX crap it would get 60fps at 4k.

Attached: battlefield-v-rtx-2160.png (500x290, 21K)

*dabs on electric bill*

Vega just had price cuts. You can get Vega 64 for 2060 prices now.
Or you could get slightly worse performance for pretty reflections on all two games supported right now.

>108.6 FPS
woah they actually killed AMD's 1%

Attached: virgin 2060 vs chad Vega56.png (605x821, 29K)

Tpu also overclocked it, but they used the stock fan profile and allow it no extra power or voltages so it's obvious it'll go much higher.

This thing is a monster for $350. Aftermarket cards will be even faster reaching 1080 ti levels.

Attached: overclocked-performance.png (500x610, 39K)

>intermediate card can run 60fps+ on high with RTX
>somehow this is a bad thing
Never cease to amaze me, Jow Forums.

If i wanted 60 fps at 1080p id just keep my 290x

RTX is such an underutilized feature right now why force everyone who wants a new card to buy one with RTX? Especially when RTX is the only justification for the absolute price hike from last gen
People are going to buy RTX cards regardless because there are a shitton of fanboys and other consumers who want nothing but the cutting edge but with 10 series stock dwindling there is going to be a large group of people who might end up having to buy a lesser card than they otherwise would because there forced to pay for something they don't necessarily want

>drops frames by half for almost zero visual improvement
RTX GOOD!

you're deluded if you think the 2060 will reach 1080 ti. the 2060 is still a nice card apart from the 6gb.

How else do you think they'll make RTX more widespread? Embedding the hardware on every single GPU on the market is the only way. If you don't want it you can just get something from AMD.

>50 fps on ultra at 4k in a AAA game for 350
So based

Literally why do the xx60s always come with meme RAM numbers like 3GB and 6GB when AMD always comes in 4/8?

It can get 60fps on 4K, just use the High preset. You can't but a intermediate and expect high end performance.

Memory bandwidth is power hungry. Limit the bandwidth, by limiting the VRAM and you have shrunk your power envelope.

6GB is STILL a lot of fucking VRAM. Anyone saying you're limited by that is a shill.

nvidia has been stingy with vram compared to amd for a long time now. something else to consider when buying the 2060 is the next round of consoles. you have to cover yourself against the lowest common denominator (consoles). happened to me with a gtx 2gb 670 around the ps4 launch. it got btfo with texture memory limitations despite being much faster than the console gpus.

1070ti and Vega 56 did that 20 months ago for ~450
The same performance 20 months later should cost half as much.

Attached: battlefield-1_3840-2160.png (500x570, 38K)

Fucking winrar is here.

>How else do you think they'll make RTX more widespread? Embedding the hardware on every single GPU on the market is the only way.
If RTX is really worth anything it will get adopted regardless, hell gameworks has no issue getting to lots of games and it doesn't really do jack shit compared to RTX

20 months ago you couldnt buy gpus at msrp newfag because the bitcoiners fucked the market.

The 2060 is a better card than the 2070 .. it costs at least 200 dollars less and just 15% less performance

Jow Forums was adamant that 3gb is all you ever need at 1080p because thats what the 780 came with.

yes you could.
Also the demand is now gone and moore's law hasn't changed. If 1070ti and Vega were profitable at ~450 the same performance should now be around 250 or less.

Attached: Capture.jpg (1421x437, 79K)

The 1070 has an mrsp of 375 and youre showing me a chart where at the lowest it was 450.

wrong graph.
point still stands. You could grab a Vega 56 at lauch for 400 if you were competent and 1070ti sold for 450 for most of its life.

also we have to go by MSRP here because we don't know what the 2060 will actually cost.

Attached: Capture.jpg (1421x438, 75K)

>you would get a card for msrp if you bought it between these 2 months in the last 2 years for these 2 models
Shut the fuck up

>better card
>less performance

Attached: 12.jpg (645x729, 57K)

So what you are saying is that even though the mining boom is over Nvidia should still price their cards according to he mining boom prices?

CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE

To be fair the Vegas are pulling like 1.5x the power there.

Is 5% slower than a 1080 + rtx bs for 350 msrp "mining boom prices"?. It wpuld have costed at least 500 2 years ago not even counting the rtx shit

That 72 fps min

Attached: gaytracing.jpg (2560x1440, 251K)

5% slower than a 1080 makes it a 1070ti

Its a 1070ti that you can oc to be faster rhan a 1080 and has rtx shot for 350 when the 1070ti was 450

Wow so based on adoption I guess AMD should just scrap zen and vega because they're still at single digit numbers against intel and nvidia

What the fuck is going on with these minimums on the 2060. This isn't an outlier either, it's happening on lots of tests.

>RTX 2060 supersedes $250 GTX 1060
>Now gives GTX 1070+ performance
>Shift the prices upwards of $100 over previous gen
Wow! Such a savings!

>make reflections in puddles
>lose 60fps
You've really got to hand it to marketing departments, they have their work cut out for them. The fact that anyone could spin this useless bullshit feature as a positive is incredible.
Marking is probably the second strongest force in the known universe, right behind compound interest.

>RTX ON!

Friendly reminder

Attached: Why would you even....jpg (2560x1440, 209K)

GTX 970 and GTX 1070 released 12 months after 780ti and 980ti respectively and cost half as much for the same or better performance.

RTX 2060 releases 15 months after 1070ti and 32 months after GTX 1080 and yet isn't half as much. It's only a 22% price drop on the 1070ti ffs.

Yeah its not that great but good enough for me to justify it now while my old card still has good resale value

>xx60
>ultra
nice meme

>1080p
God, what a let down.

>paying $344.99 for a TN panel that can only get 30fps on hdmi

Only in 10bpp mode.

Attached: HDMI2.png (435x327, 17K)

>TN
>On a 4K panel
I don't get it why would you ever get an ultra high resolution panel and fuck it up with shit color reproduction and viewing angles.

Response times. Who gives a fuck if your gay 120Hz IPS 1080p fruit television can give good colors if the response time is like 100ms?

The price hike is because AMD has nothing that can meet the performance of the 2070 and higher. The RTX 2060 is right on the heels of Vega 64, with Vega costing $100 more, using way more energy, and consequently running much hotter.

What are you talking about standard IPS 4k panels are 5 milliseconds unless they're second rate Chinese shit.

>60fps in 1080p
Is it 2011?

This is the power of RAY TRACING.

>TN panel,
>8 bit 4:2:0
Why would you even buy this?

>Response times
Negated by the panel's total lag times. This monitor is just retarded.

No they aren't, 90% of the time that's the absolute minimum. It's usually double or triple that for BtW.

What?

Still better than IPS trash.

Attached: Screenshot_2019-01-08-14-42-01(1).jpg (592x173, 19K)

The chart clearly says RGB 4:4:4 at 60hz which is what HDMI 2.0 supports

So you're just stupid.

Better card for the money you dumb idiot

So you're just blind that plays nintendo on a 768p IPS macshit air

>HDMI 2.0
That's the problem that retarded monitor only has HDMI 1.4

What does this have to do with the monitor? It can only handle 4k at 30fps with HDMI. It's in the specs, and also you might have missed the fact that it's a 28" 4k panel using TN. It's complete trash, and user is a retard for posting it.

Yea, you are definitely at least on the spectrum, or some shit.

TN doesn't mean a monitor is automatically trash.

Just make sure its a g-sync panel, the way it's meant to be played, and it will have good colors.

Attached: gsync.png (1402x828, 269K)

I don't run it all day I drive a truck and its been powered on maybe 20 times its whole life

Uh... Yes it does. TN is, so bad that manufacturers started to hide the fact that their monitors are TN. You have to do a little digging to find out that the monitor posted is even TN. Asus doesn't even mention it on their website.

I literally posted proof that TN have good colors as well you autist.

>If i sit at a perfect angle to the monitor and don't move at all the colors are good.
I bet you're the same type of person who called the 3DS' "3D" effect revolutionary as well.

>I drive a truck
lmao

>Makes more than the average programmer
You should start driving a truck user.
