You mean Nvidia is adopting FreeSync and just calling it G-Sync.
They are not adopting FreeSync. Only the VESA Adaptive Sync standard on DP. If you have HDMI FreeSync you won't be able to use this fake G-Sync. Variable refresh rate is a meme.
