The worst part about consoles is that they are a parasite between the developer and the player. Sony itself offers nothing other than holding Bloodborne to ransom.
And with that come the problems

- the game will die with the platform. You won't be able to replay it on PS5 or 6 in the future
- you won;'t be able to play it in 4k with ultra graphics as you would on a modern PC
- no mods for the games that support mods
- no mouse for your shooters
And the list goes on.

Why sell and only get $200 pocket change?

Sell your ps4. Buy a used thinkpad. Install Arch. Learn to program. Get a good job. Become a smarter person. Improve your life. Gayming is and will always be a dead end.

I never had an issue with pc games cracking or having to fix them even with cracked ones. My parts were cheaper than if I got a console and the online is free because well it should be. The framerates higher and mouse and keyboard are more accurate I just have a xbox one for some exclusives or if I get the games dirt cheap at some stores.

for me the selling point has always been scalability. eventually hardware will be outpaced by the complexity of software and you will need to upgrade. do you want to keep buying systems or eventually just need to only buy a gpu or a cpu?
