how is this bloated piece of shit so relevant again?

Also quick heads up: Don't update to systemd 2.40

In this situation, systemd did nothing wrong

this takes place before the OS can even do anything. It's not Arch's fault

How many times is this now?

this week or in total?

>how is this bloated piece of shit so relevant again
Linux is corporate software. Fast boot times are important. Security breaches and technical support are what consultants are for.

Enjoy your bazaar-cum-cathedral, Linux faggots.

Linux is a kernel.

what the fuck

A patch that prevents Arch users from using their computers is a feature not a bug.

Wtf I love systemd now. Archfags btfo

Lol @ all seething brainlets with stable distros. How will you learn how Linux really works unless your OS keeps breaking so you have to fix it?

Yeah they have a size limit of something like 250x250 and 50kb for images iirc.

>he thinks it crashes on LFS
Kek

You two faggots should notice that Linux is one of the preferred Clown OSes.

i remember 2006

Add systemd to your hooks and rerun mkinitcpio -p linux
Systemd still sucks though

>Add systemd to your hooks and rerun mkinitcpio -p linux
The utter state of Linux.

>Linux is corporate software. Fast boot times are important
My retarded little faggot, do you know how long a server needs to POST?

good thing i -Suy only once a month :^)

runit with eudev retina display doesn't have this problem :^)

>Fast boot times are important.
that's a meme , systemdoodoo doesn't boot faster than any of the other inits

Couldn't he just chroot into it and reinstall systemd?

yeah you can just downgrade systemd and its ok again

>not openrc

Some of you guys are alright
Don’t upgrade to systemd 2.40
Happening thread will be posted tomorrow morning. So long space robots.”

Install Gentoo.

This. Both OpenRC and runit boot faster, thus defying systemd's only selling point.

The average user has absolutely zero reason to run systemd.

Artix is absolute trash, if you want openRC run Gentoo instead of your arch trash.

Red Hat using its influence to push it, and people gladly accepting it because it makes systems simpler and easier to use.

I run Arch and have not experienced this issue.

systemd's only selling point is LAZINESS
maintainers don't have to do shit

but i'm already booted into 240 (arch)

You don't even have to switch. In Arch you can just recompile key software you use without systemd support and append
NoExtract =usr/lib/systemd/*
to your pacman.conf file and install OpenRC and service files from AUR and if any scripts are missing then take it from artix's gittea's page.
You can do something similar with almost any distro, obviously it requires you maintain those packages up to date on your own.
Arch, Gentoo, LFS, Crux make it extremely easy to customize your installation to how you see fit.

It's easier than that, you can convert Arch into Artix, that's how I did it, and the way to do it before Artix was a thing. I may have installed Artix on my ThinkPad, but my desktop still is a converted Arch install (there isn't any difference between the two), we're talking about at least one year ago if not two

But I've got 240.0 installed and my system still works and boots up just fine.
