What monitor is that?

Should've have waited if you just bought that now
With HDMI 2.1 being a thing we are at the crux of having a wealth of affordable big format 4k 120hz freesync HDR displays

New Apple monitor?

>that chin

DELL U2417H
I have yet to find a monitor that can match the quality, inputs and color accuracy at that price range.

Attached: A1j93rXCX9L._SL1500_.jpg (1500x1500, 369K)

For €750 I would have to wait at least a year.

>DELL U2417H
>paying above 200 dollars for only 1080p 60hz

Shhhh let him be an autist that has no fun with anything

But it's only 190 and i got it for 160 on sale. As always with Jow Forums, shitting on things but not giving a better example.

I cant get a curved 1080p 60hz monitor for less than that

amazon.com/Samsung-LC24F396FHNXZA-23-5-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B079K3MXWF/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1547261873&sr=1-3&keywords=curved fhd

>curved monitor not on an ultrawide
The only good thing about that screen is that it's VA and freesync

I don't even know what it is.

43" 4k 60Hz. Lots of screen real estate and pretty good bang for your buck.

Attached: BDM4065UC.jpg (740x555, 92K)

Crossover 27 Fast 144. Korean re-branding of the ASUS MG279Q. Got it for around £300 and almost cried when it no dead pixels and minimal BLB/IPS glow

Budget Samsung monitors suck though, horrible builld quality and fucking 70% srgb.
You can get a 27 inch benq with 92% for the same price

The real bang for your buck is a TCL 43S425, it gets you the same thing and input lag is about as good as any other 60hz display

pretty sure it's just a concept render of a renewed apple display.

Then why does the filename say Best Buy?

That's 40"

That is my ideal size, but no one has made a VA panel like that without issues yet. I prefer the compromises of VA over the drawbacks of IPS, so stuck waiting.

It’s has the same DPI as a 20 inch 1080p display
Yeah it’s 40 inches but still has a slightly higher DPI than what most people are using which is 22-24 inch 1080p panels

You said 43"

I don't know chief. Could have been added just to fuck with you.

>curved
What's the deal with this anyway, anyone who has one want to enlighten me? I've seen a few in stores and the picture just seems strange like it's somehow "wrong". But I never owned one or used one extensively. Is there any actual advantage to having one or is it just some marketing fad?

u2417h is good

>1080p on a 24" monitor

27" 1440p is garbage imo tried it thrice

QNIX QX2710
It's pretty good. Only one dead pixel, praise Worst Korea.

I use one of those 4:3 Dell monitors I found cheap at a DI. My PC won't allow me to game so it serves my needs until I get a non-toaster in the far future.

This one
It just works

impressive. how did you know?

U2515H
1440p is great, what's your problem

Attached: 15472682113641531065241.png (1284x1033, 983K)

I'd rather have a 1440p or something that's a multiple of it. 240, 480, and 720p content can all be played with native integer scaling. 1080p and 4k can only support 540p at the low end. What kind of backwards ass part of the world has content at 540?

Attached: IMG_3534.jpg (1200x1600, 643K)

What's the best 1440p/144hz monitor? I saw this thread in the archive Everyone says to get the Acer Predator XB271HUA. For the last day I've posted on 3 different pcbg and been straight up ignored on why I should pick the XB271HUA over a cheaper 1440p/144hz monitor.

Attached: 985118.jpg (857x767, 159K)

>and why isn't it this one?
I want a monitor with actual positionable controls.

U2417H is part of the monitor's master race

>not using a trinitron

Attached: 1546846285247.jpg (739x950, 186K)

Because it checks every box

>Ips
>OCs to 165hz
>Gsync
>slimmest bezel

If you don't need these features then of course there's cheaper variants.

That being said the stand is gaudy as fuck, and replaced it the second I got it, I also used some matte black tape and covered the predator logo on the front.

I can't afford this one

BenQ PD3200Q

32 inch, 1440p, A-MVA. It has a puck!

>Only one dead pixel

XB271HU
slim bezels, 1440p 144hz, it's just great.

2515 here as well. No scaling either and it's great. I

I've been using a benq 2700u at work without scanning and the amount of screen space is incredible so I'm considering 4k 27inch next.

4k also accepts 720 3x

>ultrasharp
So? It has the best srgb range, don't tell me i should get teh P series or some shit.

DELL ST2220L

>>ultrasharp
are their blacks still light grey?

better, but still bad around ~0.20 I think
I got MG279q with 0.11 blacks, which is still one of the best almost VA level which is generally 0.9-0.8, and even those aren't perfect

Resolutionlets on Jow Forums still using 1080p
Fucking cringe.

Is 27 inch enough for 4K or do you use scaling on that one? Even at 32 inch everything would be much smaller on 4K than on 25 inch 1440p

It's certainly small, but I'm sitting at just under arms length from the screen. I'm not saying everything works, but certainly don't need os scaling. Pdf, documents and websites I can just adjust the zoom on as always. As I'm working with game engines a lot the space for extra tool windows is more than helpful. If you have poor eyes or use the computer in a relaxed fashion (leaning far back) it's not going to work.

I actually need a monitor or tv to put on the wall I think. 4k please. Uh 1 or 2 not sure yet if i want 1-4 until I decide on docking stations. They're only thinkpad p50 with quadro m200m and the flex 14. I dunno if it is screen or gpu that shit like color gamut and hdr. I hope screen.

pls recommend me 4k tv or monitor to mount on wall likely 2 of them possibly 4 (and if screens determine HDR, that too plz)

and it doesnt need to be future oriented. i move in a year, and ill throw these laptops away by then

LG UltraFine 4K
21.5", 4096 x 2304, 219ppi
Because I like HiDPI displays and hate large monitors.

Uh does 2 monitors at 30hz or 1 at 60hz better? I never used 30hz so is that going to be shitty?

My favorite monitor right now is a 16" display link monitor from AOC. I travel to a lot of different factories to program machines and the small size and one USB cable convenience is worth the low resolution and occasional lag when you need a second screen on the road.

I have an portable 13.3"/1080p WIMAXIT USB-C monitor for my Linux server, which is nice.

Whats a good 21:9 monitor that supports 144hz?

Its a literal meme, at least at 24" 16:9. It does nothing, its neither a pro or a con because you dont even notice it the second day.

That looks really nice, is there any noticeable lag?

Should I get the 27" version of this or an ultrawide

I didn't notice any lag, but I use it just for administration work, not for e.g. gaming.

Anything better than this?
amazon.com/Acer-Predator-Z35-35-inch-speakers/dp/B01A0FEBXQ/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1547307473&sr=1-5&keywords=2560x1080
Would prefer no curve but every ultrawide seems to be curved.

Was thinking of buying this one amazon.com/Dell-Monitor-S2417DG-24-Inch-Response/dp/B01IOO4SGK
I'll wait for Jan 15th so we can find out how well those gsync compatible monitors work, otherwise I've been reading up on how gsync screens have more advantages than freesync.

Is there anything like this but 1440? I don't want to go back to 1080

Depends on how far you sit away from it, for me 27 is too big.
You could get two 24 inch if you got the money.

I have 2 27" 1440p monitors but the catleap won't work with my new GPU (think the dvi adapters need to be active but I'm not going to buy an adapter that's over $100) so I'm trying to decide if I should just get a nice new 27" (either 1440 or maybe 4k) or go with an ultrawide

between a similar price range should i go TN or VA @144hz
aoc c24g1 (VA) and the acer xf240h (TN) are in question

>HDMI
God no. Display port or nothing.

Can anyone make a monitor recommendation?

Looking for:
> 27in
> 1440p
> IPS
> 1ms response 60hz (or more, always better)
> under $400

Attached: 1254590539961.png (307x276, 6K)

(continued)....
Going to be using it for 66% digital art/editing, programming, 33% gaming

>> 1ms
no

What monitors fit this

>27" (16:9) or 34"+ (21:9)
>1440p
>IPS
>100+Hz
>Very good colors, brightness, overall picture quality

Looking for:

>30-32"
>4k
>low input lag for gaymen

Wat do?

Attached: 2032bw.jpg (1200x797, 61K)

I got one of these monitors that came with a Dell Dimension from around the year 2005. That thing is still kicking all these years later, the best monitor I've ever had.

Attached: delle173fpf.jpg (700x525, 42K)

how is gaming on it

Samsung C27FG73

oh no, only the 32" model is 1440

>1ms
>IPS
>under $400
doesn't exist

the pb278q is probably the best 27" 1440p monitor in the sub-$400 range, but it's got a 5ms response time

>pb278q
how's 5ms for gaming? is there any ghosting or anything in most games? (I do casually play FPS sometimes, but nothing competitively)

if you're not esports-level, anything below 8ms isn't gonna be noticeable

same

>5ms response time
My cheap POS AOC monitor has a 3ms response time

>response time is the only measure of a good monitor
love it when retards browse Jow Forums, makes me feel good about myself on this shithole

same

Any 27" 1440p/144hz IPS monitor is going to use the same AUO AHVA panel and be subject to the same panel lottery. The Nixeus EDG-27 has the best Freesync implementation of any monitor, with a full 30-144hz Freesync range and adaptive overdrive. Should probably work well with Nvidia cards now too.

Good for gaming, don't care about 4k

Attached: 832903-793690-800.jpg (800x581, 99K)

Whats wrong with HDMI?

good monitor has dvi, vga, hdmi and dport

>43" 4k 60Hz
>That is my ideal size, but no one has made a VA panel like that without issues yet

I think better stuff is coming, but you might have to wait a while before it trickles down from the blinged out gaymer trash bracket.

> tftcentral.co.uk/blog/asus-rog-strix-xg438q-with-43-va-panel-120hz-and-freesync/

Any other suggestions? I also don't want a curved one unless it was an ultrawide

I don't have one, I'm laptop-only for now. Was planning to buy the AOC I used to have, since I like that silver finish and don't desperately need 4K, but they stopped selling it in my country, and a used one would run about $300. More than I'm willing to spend for a five+ year old standard monitor.
