First PC I built in 11 years POSTed on the first try. yay bros! yay!

Attached: file.png (1440x1080, 1.15M)

Is the 1070ti good at 1440p 100-120hz? I just play Doom.

Rate my tabletop Ryzen build, boys. I plan to use it for Half-Life 2.

Should i? Why is it so cheap compare to the others, or should I wait for navi

Don't wait for vaporware from gaymd
just buy the 580

Is this the only mini-stx Ryzen barebone yet?
anandtech.com/show/13830/asrock-at-ces-2019-deskmini-a300-worlds-first-amd-ryzen-mini-stx-pc-launched

Guess I'll just wait for the NUC8i5 with the Radeon 540.

Getting a new pc this month, what's the amd equivalent to the 9700k for pairing with an 2080? also just for gaming, should I upgrade to win10? I've been using 8.1Pro with no issues with i73770k+1060 but maybe it's worth for newer systems.

Never wait for AMD.
That 580 does have a lot of bad reviews. You'll probably be fine, most people dont review a card as fine but everyone with a failed card leaves a bad review. But you do get what you pay for. That card has always been cheap so it's not like a flash sale you just noticed. Just check the price history on PCpartpicker
I wish amazon and newegg would put a rough number of total cards sold so we could use that to get a better idea of failure rate, but i think they dont want to report that for tax purposes.

Second hand Sapphire RX 580(with warranty) for 150 or that one ? I don't really care about the games

As long as it's not a blower, that sapphire is probably a lot better

i'll get that then

thanks lad

>de.pcpartpicker.com/list/qTqfcY
r8 my build, will mainly use it for streaming shit, browsing and storing porn

come on

Any input on how I can cut this down to ~$700 usd? Yes I know it says the psu and 2600x spire aren't compatible. They assume i'm using a full size ATX psu, and not an sfx to atx bracket.

pcpartpicker.com/list/Z66fcY

It's actually for my brother and hes only going to be using a 1080p 60hz monitor. It's itx because he doesn't want anything huge and couldn't care less about windows or rgb. Honestly he just wants to run wow well at 1080p, and maybe branch out from there.

His budget was $700 but I don't want to compromise too much because the goal was a solid 60fps. I might cover the rest because his birthday is on the 20th, but I already got him the peripherals, like the monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

just get a dell optiplex at this point dude

Are you an idiot?

Looks good.
Except for the PSU being overpowered.
Use the money you've saved from getting a less powerful PSU to buy 2x8 gb ram.
350-400W should be way more than enough.

You could probably get a cheaper motherboard.
Replace CPU with R5 2600.
A 450W PSU would be fine too.
I think that should make it a 700 usd build.

Literally the first line.

seriously consider literally any other ITX case, that fucker gets hot
ditch the 2600X, no ITX motherboard has the VRM setup required to get the best out of it
ditch the motherboard for something else
bracket or no bracket, tower coolers aren't fitting in that case, double check and make sure you have the clearance

t. SG13B owner

The MSI B450I Gaming plus has better VRMs and VRM cooling, so unless you need that mobo for something, get the MSI instead. It's also cheaper.

Wraith spire isn't a tower cooler, it's a slightly taller radial cooler like an old stock intel cooler.

>pcpartpicker.com/list/Z66fcY
You're spending more money on the case and motherboard by buying ITX but it's reasonable. Check ebay for a used rx 480 and overclock it yourself for the most savings.

I don't understand why you're buying an sfx psu and a sfx to atx bracket. A regular atx psu will definitely be cheaper for the same rating.

does the 1070ti mini run hotter than usual?

2600x should be okay on a 6 phase. It's only a 6 core and he can leave it to PBO.

Drop to the normal 2600
I'd clarify what he means by huge, mid towers aren't exactly huge, and using a mid tower you can go with a nice atx with x470 and give him an upgrade path to zen 2 down the road.
Also there are nice seasonic modular PSU's for like $30-40

an sfx psu allows 74mm of clearance which will fit spire.

What case would you recommend? The node 202 had even less cpu clearance. I guess there's the Cougar QBX. I have an old Ncase from when I got my Ghost s1, but I'd rather sell that.

Attached: spire.jpg (4160x2080, 914K)

You sure asrock is using a real 6 phase?
Their b450 pro 4s are 3 phases with just double the components so they can roleplay as a 6 phase.
Also the VRM heatsink on that is pathetic.

I asked a few questions yesterday throughout the day, thanks for all the help, turned out well.

One last question about airflow. At orange I got my AIO fans blowing out of the case. At blue and purple I got two intake fans.
How should I setup the rest? It's fairly dusty here, so I heard a bit of pressure it good?

Attached: f3aa59dd3f193582[1].jpg (790x532, 82K)

I misspoke, my apologies. My intention was to relate the idea that taller coolers do not fit well, even with an SFX PSU installed. I am currently using a Cryorig C7 and I'd estimate I have about an inch and a half of room between the fan and the PSU. The Spire's construction leaves me concerned whether it would fit properly.

I wouldn't be surprised if PBO gave barely any boost at all in the SG13B. It really runs hot, particularly if you have a GPU installed.

You're not going to like it, but look at ITX towers. The thermal performance difference between my SG13B and my Evolv ITX is like night and day.

youtu.be/MMJoLyrWa7E?t=23m33s

front: intake
top/rear: exhaust

protip: AIOs perform best when used as a front intake, but if you can't mount it like that in your case then top exhaust is fine.

the PSU is literally the cheapest non-shit semi modular one I can buy, I think I'll keep it.

every fucking board in that video has some fatal flaw, the manufacturers should commit sudoku
I would buy the Mortar if I were building now tho

I'm actually impressed by the amount of bullshit in this video

Yeah you're right about the case. Only allows up to 61 mm coolers.

IS THE 1070TI TITANIUM A GOOD GRAPHICS CARD

STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS AND MAYBE I'LL GIVE YOU AN ANSWER

YEAH BUT ONLY IF YOU AREN'T PAYING TOO MUCH FOR IT

Should I wait for AMDs new lineup before building a PC?

Probably wait for Ryzen 3000 but Vega 2 is crap.

if you're fine waiting for 6 months for cpus and probably longer for GPUs

I want to build a PC but I'm confused how much money you need to invest in 2019. I also want to play VR.

I have a 1080p monitor, but a 4K TV. Those 4k computer monitors look absurdly expensive and cost like 500-700€ here. I don't play multiplayer anyway.

So my question is, if I want to play VR stuff, 1080p at 60fps or higher and be able to emulate games like Breath of the Wild, Wii-U titles and stuff like Demon Souls, how much should I be looking at?

Maybe look ahead of PCpartpicker.

Maybe you should look ahead of PCpartpicker.
Whatever that means

I did and everything ended up more expensive than the corshit, I could theoretically take the PSU out of my old PC, but that thing has been running for 8 years now and I don't want to take any chances.

In my experience, you want something a bit beefier than a 580 for VR, so you'd be considering a 1070/2060.

As far as CPU goes, you'll want 3rd gen ryzen to save some cash.

I am only familiar with ameribucks, but I'd say between $1500-$2000 would get you a really good experience, with $1000-$1200 getting you a "passable" experience.

I have about 1200e budget for the whole PC. So far I have decided on a case (phantek enthoo pro) and PSU (evga 750 G3).
What other parts should I get? I was thinking of a ryzen CPU and nvidia GPU, along with 16gb of 3200 CL16 RAM. With the parts I already got, my budget is 1000e. I would also like both a HDD and SSD.

I asked it twice already, answer plox
It's recently discontinued in my country, until then it went for $650-$700, a friend of mine is selling his one month old one with transferable warranty for $400. I'm gonna pair it with my new XB271HU, I hope to get 1, 2 years out of it. Is that solid?

750 is going to be overkill at that budget.

1070ti is good as long as you don't overpay for it, try to find a cheap one.

>Too blurry

I fucked up and didn't put the PSU shroud back in before installing the video card. I'm going back and forth on whether or not I should install the LED strips.

Attached: file.png (1440x1080, 1.71M)

I already bought it. Plus, I'd rather have some future proof PSU if I decide to buy a newer gen GPU.

pcpartpicker.com/list/GFMxdX

can I make it a bit better, those are euros btw, and I don't like modern games, I play games from 4 years ago, program and watch movies, don't need high end stuff

Suggest me a good and cheap wireless router with bandwith control

Looks fine but consider going microATX. A low end PC doesn't really need to be so big.

How long until Samsung's 5th gen SSDs come out? I can't wait to upgrade from HDDs.

TWO

What's the best price performance RX 580 I could get?

... are the current generation really too slow for you?

No I just don't want to miss out on some fancy new tech, if it's actually gonna be worth it.

NVME drives are already batshit insane levels of performance you could never hope to make full use of with standard use.

pls help

A question for all of you gaymen aficionados

Has Windows 10 1809 given any more trouble to you than 1803? Do you use Windows 7 or 8.1 instead, even with newer hardware?

I'm buying the 1tb 860 Evo, then. No real performance difference between NVME and SATA III, right?

Not in games. At worst you'd wait an extra second with SATA III and you'd get throttling anyways.

I mean throttling with NVME.

>No real performance difference between NVME and SATA III, right?
There is an absolutely massive measurable performance difference but only in synthetics. You won't actually notice if you're only gaymen.

No throttling on 970EVO

Is anyone using their old NH-U12P for Ryzen?
Since this baby could coold down a i7-920 I will most likely use it for a Ryzen 2700x too.
Am4 montage kit is free since Noctua is nice to customers.

Worth a try. They're really quick at sending out the free kit too, only took a couple days for it to get delivered from Austria.

They are just 2-3 hours with the car away from me :^)

The old i7 will get the shipped cooler slapped back on.
I pay more for a Noctua but at least I can still use it over different boards, nice.

It's not entirely relevant but I wasn't sure where to ask.
My 390 died recently and I've switched over to the integrated on my 4790k, but the clock seems to be fixed at 357MHz, meaning I get low fps in fucking hearthstone.
Bios settings and XTU have had no impact on the clock, any help would be appreciated.

Where you from m8? We might be able to make a deal, I live close too.

Deal?

$400 is a very good price if it's usually over $600 in your country,
It's $600 where i live right now and I've only ever seen a regular 1070 drop below $400 once, and it was a shitty card.
So yeah buy that shit up.

meant for

I'm actually impressed by the amount of bullshit in this post

Thanks user. There's also a 1070ti mini, 8 months old with warranty and all, for $290. Stock 1070tis are the same performance wise, and I'll be getting a new card in late 2020. Keeping that in mind, do I go for the $400 Titanium or the $290 mini?

Deal as in, I need some stuff too.

Titanium cause it's newer and a better cooler so quieter
I'd get the mini too and scalp it on ebay, or if it was a friend, inform him he can get a better price for it.

I will most likely order the free AM4 kit dilevered to my door.
Which means I can get it in 1-2 days after ordering it.
Nono I am not driving there :D

He mined the hell out of the mini, that's why the price is relatively low.

>Had Vega 64 for over a year
>Very happy with it, managed to get some really good OC & UV settings
>But the temps are not so good, it's a reference design after all
>Decide to repaste it yesterday
>Dropped 15ºC on average, hitting peak clocks at 75º with lower power target and less power draw (225W avg)

It's crazy how much better the card is now with the driver support and the fine tuning and paste mod.
But why the hell do they ship them out overvolted and with crappy thermal paste? No wonder reviewers slammed Vega and the power usage meme became true, if you set power target to 150% it sucks up 330W, mine hits peak clocks (1700Mhz core, 1050Mhz HBM2) and stays there while only drawing 225W on average.
Stock thermal paste is much worse, hitting throttling temps easily after a few minutes of load, and with the thermal runway it starts to suck up more power than needed.
Sasuga AMD.

Attached: vega.jpg (1220x915, 593K)

lol, dont gotta tell ebay that.
I bet half of these are miner cards too ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=1070 ti&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684
For comparison you can pick up a new 1070ti in australia for $600 right now.
Is the used market this retarded in other countries? Maybe i should have asked that first.

First ever pc build. Currently testing 1.4v to get 3.9ghz with my ryzen 2600. Guessing that means I lost the silicone lottery? The ryzen 3 I sent back hit 4.0 without any added voltage :(

Attached: fsdfertyrty.png (1586x1299, 3.78M)

Most 2600 don't break 4GHz without silly voltages. The good bins all go into 2600x stock.

These prices are better than in my country, where a new 1070ti (starting with Galax/Zotac Mini and the like) goes for 770 AUD. Fucking lol, the decent ones like the Titanium go for $890 roobucks.

>AUD
We're in the same country you drongo
You can get a 1070ti for $600 dollarydoos here umart.com.au/goods.php?id=40840

Oh yeah never mind, that's sold out.
Still definitely ebay the mini and keep the titanium.

Oh. So if this 3.9 test fails, 3.8 isn't terrible for a 2600 then?

Is it even worth running it at 1.4v 24/7 just to get it to 3.9? I think I can get 3.8 from around 1.3v, but I haven't had enough time to run any decent length tests yet.

3.8 is very bad for a 2600.
3.8 was pretty tragic for a 1600, but not very rare, that's like some bottom 10% 2600

Don't know if I would bother at all honestly. I just keep my 2600x stock. If you keep it cooled below 60c the boost will do it's job just as well as a manual OC.
I'm assuming he has a lower end board that doesn't have proper LLC/offset tuning and will never do very well with manual OC.

>1200e
What country?

You cant get 3.9 with that huge ass cooler? Damn, guess I will buy intel then.

Literally no difference in daily usage

This. My 2700x with PBO on, 3200mhz ram c14 gets near 2000 in cinebench. The auto is great with decent cooling.
