I will never understand why they did this.

because they like to pretend people who do actual work on computers will be using windows
The folder is literally just "My Pictures" with a different icon though. Under properties it says "this folder is optimized for Pictures".
Look I understand why Grandma needs a specially marked folder to store her pictures.
But somebody out there is creating and rendering so many 3D pictures on his computer that he needs a place to store them but isn't competent enough to make his own folder for them.
Explain this.

I think I've seen like, one unzipper on KDE or a niche OS, that would check if the root of the zip had one file or more, and extract to new folder "if necessary". Literally once over 20+ years a function which should be present in all fucking archive tools.
I personally use the 3D objects folder for projects but the amount of people who do 3D shit is so small there's no point to it

lmao @ japs
Xarchiver and Archive Manager on LXDE both dump rootless zips without making a new folder.
One of them has the option to create a new folder but it must be ticked manually every time.
oh yeah, /3/ exists..
You could just make your own folder though that's in the exact same spot as the 3D folder, optimized for Pictures exactly the same, and give it the same icon. You posted an anime girl so clearly you're competent enough to do this.
Then the rest of us could delete the folder without having to edit some obscure location in the registry.
>LICENSE
heh.. DELETE
that's what i'm saying although microcuck is trying hard to shill /3/ shit despite nobody asking for it. It's creating more bloat than people need and they've added 3D programs that end up just being gimmicks like paint 3D, 3D builder and 3D viewer. /3/fags don't even use these

Feels good to have autodetect subfolder. Install KDE.
