What's a good photo viewer and why is it IrfanView?

the windows photos viewer is unironically the best

I don't see what's wrong with the stock Windows 7 or Windows 10 image viewer.

someone should make a node-based photo viewer.

sry i like to see pics instantly, not after loading for 30 seconds.

ImageGlass is pretty kewl for Windows.

>Windows 10 image viewer
For me — it's Paint.
t. Glorious LTSC masterrace

For some reason photo viewers takes a shitload of time to load a pic, for me...

weird its instant for me

JPEGView

IrfanView is unironically good. Very easy to use with just a keyboard and even comes with batch conversion features if you're into that.

What's that poo smell... OH SHIT IT'S WINTARDS

It's called First Impression, and looks down on your thicc borders

admire its features: ultimate minimalism!
use + and - to zoom, space and backspace for next and previous, esc to exit. and rmb for a small context menu

honeyview with no borders and mouse+kb controls

I use this as well. Best imageviewer I've used to date but it's a shame that it's not open sourced (and never will be since the dev is dead). I'd love to extend and customize it more.
I could probably implement something similar but I doubt I could make it this well optimized.
The whole programs fits in 300kb and is as fast as your IO.

Really the only thing it's missing that I'd want is a slideshow feature.

Picasa

ah nice! All I'm missing is ctrl+alt+arrows to rotate images really

>Winniggers need a third-party tool for VIEWING IMAGES

What are you even trying to imply?
Unless your primary OS is a digital pictureframe, I doubt your OS comes with an image viewer.

You're only posting this for attention.

>my smartphone came with earphones so I don't need better ones

ImageGlass. Custom skins and supports tons of file formats. By default it has the same aesthetic of Windows 10.

Honeyview.

Honeyview. Just turn off all the bullshit and make it display the image and nothing else.

I could just use quicklook™ to see images just using and it's FOSS.

I tried using the Windows equivalent of the same name but it kind of defeats the whole purpose since it's written in C#.
The whole point is that it's supposed to be fast, the name has the word quick in it.
The programs I use to open files are all faster than the preview program.
It's a good attempt though. Functionally close to the OS X one.

Bloated af

To be fair I just noticed this is still under development.

Sxiv

Also I want to use software written by cute Chinese girls so I installed it anyway.

irfanview starting failing to show certain pictures so i switched to nomacs

jpegview or imageglass
anything else is either ugly or bloat

CdisplayEx is the best for masturbation

This. My lineup for aesthetic LTSC media software is a little like this, all with windows 10 skins:
>Aimp for music
>imageGlass for pictures
>vlc for movies
>Vivaldi for browser
Absolute maximum comfy right here bros

He is talking shit because he have 4GB ram and windows 10 that is taking 1GB ram or more so of course his windows image loader not even load pictures right. It works instantly for me too.

nigger i got 16GB. Haven't used it in ages, maybe they fixed that problem by now. Used to be fucking slow.

I can't find a live download link for the life of me. All link to some domain that's not being used anymore. Could you maybe share it?

Can you redpill me on Vivaldi? I'm searching for a new browser since everything I've been using so far is resource intensive af just for watching fucking youtube videos.

It's Chrome with an interface written in JavaScript and some extra closed-source bloat.

k, so nothing special then?

Had both Irfanview and Imageglass and id keep imageglass

IrfanView is ok, but it has many annoying/unintuitive controls.

You mean Honeyview.
