I could fit my dick 15 times in her.
my desktop monitor had this back when desktop comptuters were a thing. it would unscrew sometimes but i liked it. good old days.
im still using VGA in 2019 *dabs*
It still gets used today, thanks old lady.
I could push 1920x1200@70Hz thru analog with reduced blanking where DVI hits the wall at 60Hz without dual link
It just works
>Born in 1987
damn
Truth
Works better than all attempts I had at connection a computer to a display with HDMI.
I have 4 monitors with it, it just works. it actually works
>>Born in 1987
>damn
Just as effective as the 3.5mm jack still is
Fuck you, and fuck every monitor with ports in hard to reach places.
VGA is kind of like the ps/2 of display connectors, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Not saying it's a bad or good thing it's just an observation.
no DRM
>VGA is kind of like the ps/2 of display connectors, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Not saying it's a bad or good thing it's just an observation.
False. All current graphics cards do not support it.
What about the adapters I've had cards come with those.
mfw even hdmi is dead
my GTX 1080 only has one hdmi port
And fuck DVI, screws are for gays.
i have some vga monitors but dont really want to buy like 10 euro adapter for each of them. just sad cant use them on newer video cards
I really like both DVI and VGA because they are bigger solid connectors with screws on them. Move a monitor with VGA (or DVI) around a bit and the port doesn't break because the plug wiggles a bit in it - which is actually something that can and sometimes does happen with HDMI. DisplayPort's a little better designed than HDMI in that manner but it still doesn't compare to the awesomeness of a screwed-in VGA cable.
>It just works
It really does.
VGA isn't going anywhere and it doesn't matter if new graphics cards don't support it (the industry has decided only DisplayPort and HDMI have a future). Projectors ain't cheap and nobody's replacing them because they don't have fancy new connectors. It's not like I use VGA for anything at home but I use the VGA connector on my laptop all the time. Like everywhere.
The only downside to using you is that is I want to unplug you its kind of annoying to unscrew that shit all the time.
It's analog, it works with anything, it's easily hackable. I miss plain old serial/parallel ports, you could stick a led into it to make it blink. Now everything is ridden with fuckton of layers of micros, drm and other shit. For fuck's sake, thing as simple as an USB cable has some controller or other in it. Fuck it all.
looks cool
needs a sex change
if you plugged it into itself what would happen
You can't, don't you see?
you just need moar adapter
>serial ports
Funny you should mention this. I bought a serial port bracket something like a decade ago, probably more. And I've been using it every since and I'm STILL using it with my fancy new motherboard. The port's long gone from being a part of the standard IO ports on the back of a computer - but it's actually something a lot of motherboards have a header for.
at least its not botnet hdmi trash
Amazing standard
>I miss plain old serial/parallel ports
I sure as fuck don't. Their slow and awful for everything except being babbys first electronic hobby kit, and that's a job better served by a fucking electronic hobby kit
>thing as simple as an USB cable has some controller or other in it.
No they don't
good riddance
you would have to plug it to a computer first then quickly plug it to itself instead and one frame would be stored in it
I made my first joystick myself, it plugged into parallel port and consisted of nothing but clicky switches and the driver was trivial.
>No they don't
Sorry I fucked up. But the hdmi cable sure do.
My favourite analog video port.
I still use it for my second monitor and linux machine.
