JavaScript has pretty god tier syntax imo. Object destructuring, object spreading, arrow syntax etc.

Js is arguably a better tool outside webdev if you can keep tasks asynchronous. With the v8 compiler it's much faster than python. It's weakness is it's lack of standard libraries. The problem is most of the great stuff in js are libraries designed for the web.
Each has its own speciality case where it has matured.
