Wacha getting?

Sales end tomorrow, Jow Forums
Which GPU are you guys picking up?
2060, 2070 or a 2080? Or are you waiting for a VII?

nothing 5-10 fps over prev generation is not worth the price hike

GT 1030

Waiting till next gen, replaced my dual GTX 980s with a Vega64 cause no game I play on PC currently has good SLI support except FFXIV and the card came with RE2R and DMCV. WIll probably keep this card for a year or two.

All the rtx gpus will be memory starved in 1-2year, Radeon 7 is overpriced, I'm waiting for rtx 30 and navi

nothing, gpus are fucked this year

I'll buy a 7 when there is a good deal eventually .

Double performance of my current 980/1060 level GPU but I'm in no rush and prob will regret it when Intel GPU n navi is like faster than 1080ti/2080/7 for half the price :(

Wait what sale?

Daily reminder that getting g more fps than ya screen hz does speed up ya response time a game at only 150fps compared to 300fps is like 60ms slower even if screen is only 144hz

I'm not a drooling JUST WAIT retard, so I'll be sticking with the 1080 Ti that I've had for nearly two years until an actual real upgrade is released.

I've been thinking of a 2060 to upgrade from my 960.

>cpu: i7 2600
>gpu: 560 ti (got fried)
>ssd: 580 evo 500gb
>psu: dont even know
>mobo: maximus iv gene-z
>ram: ddr3 1600 Mhz hyperx 2x2gb & hyperx 2x4gb (12gb total)

Should i buy a rtx 2060 ?

What sales? I'm looking for deals on NVMe SSD's

2060

>at (((MSRP)))

None. I'm happy with my current gpu.

Hey, retard. Are Intel CPUs cheap? Any of them? So what the fuck makes you think their GPU will be cheap? And if current day AMD is anything to go by, you're going to be waiting for a long fucking while before AMD releases a high end GPU, much less a good priced one.

Is there any chance of Navi actually being competent with Turing or should I just get a 580 now?

Attached: poozen.png (854x640, 645K)

I've got a 1070, I'm kinda set seeing as I game at 1080p.

Though if the 1100 series becomes a thing, I'd probably splurge a little more for an 1170ti or a 1180 this time around.

16GB HBM looks tasty for compute

I'm getting a used 1070ti for the price of a new 1060 3gb in my country
fuck these new cards and their prices

Just wait(tm) is the worst meme ever. There's nothing on the horizon for you to wait my friend. Not even Zen 2 has a release date.

Well, fuck me. Thanks user.

I'm trying to decide between an RX 570 and an RX 580

1080ti

I need an upgrade, but current offerings are fucking shit outside of the 2060.

And I fucking hate Nvidia.

Have a 1070 in my laptop I got due to prices being so fucked last year, my 7970 in my desktop will just have to wait for it's retirement until next year since I doubt VII will ever drop in price.

Do you actually play games? If not why spend so much money that you will regret. Just buy a much cheaper gpu.

Attached: heehee.png (728x1263, 590K)

I still have my 980Ti connected to my 1440p 165HZ G-sync panel. The car just refuses to become irrelevant. Even when paired with a stock clocked gen1 ryzen and only 2400MHz ddr4, I'm getting 120+fps in the vast majority of titles. (Shit optimized games not withstanding)

I can easily see myself holding onto this 980Ti even when I upgrade to the 7nm Ryzen.

my friend replaced his dual 980 setup with a 2080 so i’m buying one of his 980s for £100. will be a good jump from a 660 and new graphics cards are expensive

Expected release date is June.

I'm happy with my 1070 Ti.

I am going to buy the 2060 next week and I want anthem with it.

Zen 2 or Navi?

>Which GPU are you guys picking up?
none, i'm happy with what i have

Redpilled side of the Force
vs Blue/Green pilled side

Attached: amd vs intel & nvidia.png (960x960, 877K)

None because AYYMD fucked up again so no competition = no good prices

At some point one might want a new shiny new card without having any need for one. It's a disease.

Zen 2.

5:40->6:20 or so

Got this for a good price on black friday and I couldn't be happier. Great card

Attached: aaaaaa.gif (533x561, 558K)

Just got a 2080 and overclocked it around 10% with stock cooler. It already beats the vega7 and has rtx and machine learning cores and costs the same. There is really no reason to wait for vega7 unless you are a "content creator". Wtf does that even mean? Twitch streamers?

It means you use your GPU for creating content dummy.

Unfortunately I've become addicted to 4k so a 2080 is my only choice.

I'd like to buy 2080 Ti and some old, refurbished 900p monitor. Would be even better if I managed to get old CRT one.

What exactly are you going to be using those RTX and machine learning cores for? You can't game at any reasonable frame rate with RTX soooo.....

none, can't afford it.

Use them for tensorflow to photoshop people into porn movies

Any notable differences between +800€ 2080 versions like EVGA and versions like Gainward or MSI Ventus that are 200€ cheaper?

the price difference is usually due to different cooling solutions, build quality, some parts and of course branding

will you notice the difference? probably not

yes the cheapo ones are shitty bins that don't hit the same clocks. The more expensive ones are 10% faster. another novideo trick

This.
Rtx 2080 is slower in bfv with dxr on than my fucking 1080 at 1440p
Gaming and vidya cards are a absolute joke atm we have regressed
600aud for a gtx 2060

I see, thanks. I was deciding between 2070 or a cheap 2080 and I think the 2080 wins, even with less boost and a few more ºC.

my 1080ti makes me feel good. I finally got a decent fan profile that allows me to add 120% power to it so I can play Witcher 3 at 4k 60fps solid without turning my PC into a jet engine. Thinking about adding a side intake fan but that would mean I'd need a third party fan controller.

>buying into leather jacket mans bullshit RTX shit show
>on purpose
>ever
yeah, naw cunt

Same I kept my 1080 at stock boost it did 2ghz but not reliably
It's unremarkable
Its not any faster than a 1080ti oc
There's literally one rtx on game and it's shit
Can't wait for zero games to bother with rtx so dxr can become a universal standard once amd gets off their ass and stops re-releasing gcn for the umpteenth time

Metro Exodus should have incredible RTX because it's global illumination instead of just shitty reflections and shadows

>one shitty game might utilize this bullshit tech
Wow you've convinced me , I shall go purchase 2 RTX rights now. Thanks friendo!

Oh boy 30fps 1080p slideshow I can't wait.
Rtx is pathetic it's weaker than 3+ years old pascal at raster and can't even run 4k dxr shit at playable 60fps+
What the fuck is the point of rtx on if it halves the fucking framerate? Isn't the whole idea of having a dedicated raytracing gpu accelerate rendering instead of having half the card sit idle? It's a shit card even the 2080 Ti is a joke barely faster than a old flagship that costs half the price uses less power

1080ti or wait for navi. Haven't decided yet. Since there's nothing worth playing my current card can't handle I'll probably wait.

Nothing, my RX 480 has performed just fine.
I don't really play games like I used to, and the pricing of cards is all sorts of fucked right now. If the RTX 2060 was $250, I probably would grab it, but no way am I dumping $400 on a midrange card.

I didn't fucking say that, retard. I'll buy an RTX card when I can get 4k60fps performance out of it, which I know is a way, ways away. However it will be nice to see a game use it properly even now
come on faggot, I know that these RTX cards were released WAY too early and should have been combined with a new architecture on a new process, but seeing RTX global illumination is still fucking cool. And by the way, they did say that their target is 1080p 60fps

>no game I play on PC currently has good SLI support
no future game will ahve SLI support either. it's a dead gimmick.

I saw a 2080 running bfv they other day in the flesh.
It ran like shit dropped to 40fps down from 60-80 any time the scene got remotely rtx heavy even on low medium high ultra dxr it didn't matter
It's a pathetic card made all the more hilarious a 1080ti used costs 1/3 as much.
1000usd for 40fps mins is a joke especially at a sub 4k 1440p res

An open box Vega 56 OC something or other, for $280

Attached: 20190113_142103.jpg (1080x1340, 620K)

I bought a used 1080 with an AIO watercooler for $400 a month ago and I'm happy to leave it at that for the next 2.5 years or so. Defo worth it for me since I moved from 1080p to 1440p ultrawide and none of Nvidia or ATI's current gen offerings are appealing at all to me..

digitial foundry can get a solid 1080p 60fps on a 2060 so your friend is a retard and just bumped up all settings to max for no good reason then.

I said I agree, the cards are too weak to release now. It's a gen too early.

2060 since AMD is MIA

Navi or the next GTX lineup, currently maximum comfy on my GTX 1070 2Ghz i7 6700k @4.4Ghz, maybe if AMD blows me away with the 3000 series i might change to an AMD build.

How much of an upgrade would a 2060 be to my 1070 non ti?

Actually curious, I can have a mate buy my 1070 and I could put it towards a 2060.

>Less VRAM, and less Gigapixels per second.
rendering

Nah mate keep the 1070, maybe go for the 2080 or wait for something better unless you need the AI features and the raytracing hardware then go for it.

I'll get myself VII if price won't be cucked in EU

Shill spotted. We're not paying your shitty badge tax.

cheers mate, gonna watch a few more comparisons as well but it seems like it's not a huge upgrade

what offers

If the VII comes down to $400 this Black Friday I'll probably get it, unless the new 1180 comes out or gets announced by then. At which point I'll wait for that or Navi

Confused eurotard here. Wasn't "black friday" a few months ago?

I think it's Asians

Maybe he means in 10 months?

"sales" end tomorrow?
what sales?
all the GPU you mentioned in the OP are failures
2060 is not worth buying vs 1070ti/v56
2070 is not worth buying vs 1080/v64
2080 is not worth buying vs 1080ti
VII is not worth buying vs 1080ti

i would buy NONE of these new cards. complete dogshit.

Where are you going to find a new 1080ti for cheap though?

vega isn't worth buying at all so don't even mention that garbage

i bought a 1070 two months ago for $250
waiting for zen 3 to upgrade CPU/mobo/ram (currently have i5 4690k and 8GB of RAM)

I've got 2 1080s, so I don't feel any immediate need to upgrade even though I'd like more performance. 2080 is only like 40% faster than a 1080, so it's not worth it to upgrade to that, as such 2080 Ti is kind of the only option, but it's too expensive and its performance is also underwhelming for the price. RTX isn't worth considering since fucking nothing uses it, plus its performance seems to be pretty bad and it doesn't look like I'd be able to use it at 4K anyway.

Yeah I'm trying to get her properly tuned and upgrade my PSU and cooling. I heard that this card needs to be undervolted I think. Getting some annoying shit like BSOD when changing fan curve. It's a sweeet card though, playing MHW world at 1440p at a crisp 60 fps is amazing.

Attached: 1398919969304.jpg (1127x1221, 235K)

nice deal
better than a 590 kek
i bought a 580 for $170 last week
was great is great

vega 56 is $330
vega 64 is $399
at those price points, they're absolutely worth buying. just undervolt

and a 2060 is $350 and faster than both

It ran the same at high/medium with rtx on though
It costs 1500aud here and can't even beat the outgoing 1080 Ti for price or performance
Rtx is a absolute meme I reserved judgement until I saw it in person it's barely noticeable who the fuck runs around in a fps looking at reflections in a puddle of water.
It's 700usd there is no price drop stooge
Even a single 1080 is fine in perfectly happy with mine fantastic high fps 1080p/2k 1440p card
Show me one for $350usd or fuck off

Better wait few months. Mining market is cooling off into a freeze.

>it's this amdtwat shill again

fuck off

>Even a single 1080 is fine
A single one wouldn't be so fine at 4K, but the games I play support SLI so I can still get by.

Fuck off I owned Intel in the past core 2 duo t9300 i7 920 and 4690
Lucky.
Apparently 1080 Ti sli is pointless in modern games anyway

absolutely incorrect.
the 2060 is not faster than a vega 64. a "tuned" vega 56 can beat it easily. a 1070ti is in the same ballpark, a regular 1080 is better and cheaper.

I've had a 56 and 1080 and both oc to the Max are about the same speed give or take
7nm navi Arcturus or whatever comes next will be the stuff to grt Vega 2 is a bomb
Why didn't they make a Vega 56 tier card for $500 with 8gb?

it's at least as fast as a vega 64 at worst

>A price tag of $350/£330 puts GeForce RTX 2060 in the same territory as GeForce GTX 1070. It’s less expensive than AMD’s Vega 56 and Nvidia’s 1070 Ti. Yet, it beats both cards more often than not. The geometric mean of RTX 2060’s average frame rate across our benchmark suite at 2560x1440 is 77.9 FPS. Apply the same calculation to GTX 1070 Ti and you get 76.2 FPS. RX Vega 64 achieves 77.8 FPS. RX Vega 56 sits at 69.8 FPS. GTX 1070 lands just under that, at 67.2 FPS.

is this one guy talking to himself?

Waiting for Navi later this year. Fuck Nvidia. I don't even care if Nvidia comes out with a RTX 3000 generation either.

Most likely a 2080 considering there's literally no reason to buy AMD anymore seeing that Nvidia supports adaptive sync via DP 1.2 now.
