STOP KVETCHING GOYIM

What
1050 ti was always slow as fuck, why even compare it to 570?

Because the 1050Ti costs as much as the RX 570

Don’t those cards retail for about the same price? I know it’s only one benchmark, but goddamn.

570 costs 250, 1050ti 160-170

hitman 2 is very nvidia leaned

Apples and oranges. You have to compare the market segment, the performance range.

The equivalent would be a RX560, which is worse than the 1050 ti.

??????

>You have to compare the market segment
that would be the price, hardware should be only compared by prices
price/performance ratio is the only metric that matters.

Apples and oranges. You have to compare the market segment, the performance range.

The equivalent would be a RX560, which is worse than the 1050 ti.

Market segment is price/performance ratio

>I know it’s only one benchmark,

watch the video

RX 570 reks the 1050ti in everything.

?????????

kek'd

do you have brain damage?

RX 570 MSRP is higher than 1050 Ti. It's not a fair comparison.

1050 Ti should be compared with the 4gb model RX560.

you can stop lying now, NPC.

>MSRP
good goy, keep moving the goalpost. can't have AMDrones have a easy win, amarite?

nvidia damage control team still delusional

Yet nvidia still outsells amd. What can we do about this bros? How we do spread enlightenment to the ignorant masses?

>75W VS 150W
woah

You aren't guaranteed to find a certain product at a certain price always. The RX 570 could skyrocket in price weeks from now. So you have to rely on something more permanent. Thus why utilize MSRP instead.

You have to learn how to deal with facts.

*outsells you anyway by being better day one when it matters the most*

>43% faster
>50% more power
nice cope, goy

Oh no it uses one lightbulb worth more energy. I guess I'll buy the slower, more expensive 1050 Ti now

>DX12 is worse on Nvidia
>let's use it anyway
No one does that.

MSRP was never an accurate measurement.

It's only $30 + $50 for the PSU, just $80 more expensive, totally the same thing guys!!

How the FUCK are you gonna run a 1050ti without a PSU dipshit? Do you think motherboards just have a AC jack?

Also see

With a LESS expensive PSU, dipshit.

30-40$ 400W/450W is pretty much the lowest tier of barely acceptable ATX PSUs. It'll run both GPUs just fine, retard. How do you go 30$ lower? Get it free from some shop?

>pays more for less
>thinks it's OK
The absolute state of nvidiots

Literally HOW? The cheapest and safest PSU you can get is a $20 400W evga which has 360W (288W 80% load) 12v rail that can handle even a VEGA 56 perfectly fine alongside a 65W CPU (95W if rx 570).

Attached: Screenshot_2019-01-13-12-02-39(1).jpg (720x781, 173K)

is hardware unboxed going all in on nvidia after they got snubbed?

It's clear that Nvidiots have no brain, as we can see here.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. Stop smoking crack my dude, those 400w PSU don't even come with enough pins to connect a Vega 56. Vega without tweaking can consume 300w by iteself, and that isn't even powering the whole card. Stop scamming people you nigger.

the most expensive PSU is the one you have to replace when you upgrade your GPU.
If you buy a PSU that can barely handle a 1050ti and doesn't leaven any room for upgrading then you are seriously retarded.

RX 570 always has and always will be equivalent to a 1060 3GB. This hasn't changed since release.

Attached: relative-performance_1920-1080.png (500x1010, 52K)

That specific PSU comes with an 8-pin and 6-pin PCI-E connector you massive mong. Perfectly compatible with many VEGA 56s. Also where is your source that it consumes up to 300W? AFAIK it averages ~230W on stock settings with peaks of 250W.

Attached: Radeon-RX-Vega-56-Efficiency (1).png (1016x622, 32K)

I own a fucking Vega 56 you piece of shit. It can consume 300w if you unlock it's power limit to 50+ - which you will try to do to learn how to overclock + undervolt like I had to. 450w is simply not enough power for a Vega 56 with anything. TDP is mostly a measurement of cooling, not power consumption.

>It can consume 300w if you unlock it's power limit to 50+
>consume 300w if you unlock it's power limit to 50+
>if you unlock it's power limit to 50+
Why would you do that if UV'ing and OC'ing rarely makes it consume more than 200W? It's not anyone's fault you fucking blow at doing those things and OC'd with like 1,400mV because you're retarded.

Vega 56s in large part are already overvolted on stock settings and 100-200mV reductions at turbo clocks are pretty common already.

Attached: 73d0518a7de54abf86df3ba82e3b0760.png (1422x1600, 1.77M)

Not him, but how can power consumption be different than thermal power (or whatever it's called)? I mean, all the electric power in electronics is converted into heat and there are no additional heat sources. Is TDP a measure of how much heat the heatsink must be able to transfer while accounting for the fact that the card itself will also transfer heat to surrounding air, making TDP slightly smaller than the power consumption?

The malarchy comes from intel, nobody knows what their TDP actually means (maybe not even intel themselves). But yes on GPUs TDP generally means how much heat they output on load which is like 99% of the electricity that comes in through PCI-E slot and cables.

You don't own the card, right? You're giving tips to someone who's clearly not an expert - if he were he wouldn't be asking here - and advising him to buy a anemic PSU that can make his PC shutdown if he misses one settings - which will freak out any newcomers. Why advise to buy a good brand but low power PSU? Can he technically do it? Yeah. I can also hotwire my PC using my microwave probably but doesn't mean I should. Not all silicon is created equal, you can't just tell someone to undervolt or overclock by this or that amount and expect it to work. He will need to tweak to find the sweet spot, and that includes increasing the power limit BEFORE ANY KIND OF UNDERVOLT.

Sorry, should've explained it better like though my own system is AMD + AMD, even you want the highest frames possible you might choose a Intel CPU and then your power consumption may not match what's advertised even on "stock" settings.

My mistake, you're not giving advice. The point still stands, you're spreading misinformation. You should not buy a 400w PSU to run a Vega 56.

I said it was possible and it literally IS. A stock vega even without UV'ing will work 100% perfectly okay on a 400W evga PSU with a 12V rail that can handle 360W. You're the faggot that brought up OC'ing.

Typical power draw:
stock Vega 56 GPU: 230W average
ryzen 2600 CPU: ~40W average (remember most games can't use more than 2-4 cores efficiently)

That equated to about 270W average power consumption while gaymen (67%) and about 300W running prime95 + furmark (75%). Perfectly safe for the PSU. Obviously you're need more juice if you want to OC but everything stock BEFORE UV'ing will run just fine.

If it can do THAT then I don't see how running an RX 570 even with a 95W AMD CPU will be a problem at all.

>fine wine
eh the rx 570 was always much better than the 1050ti. the only reason to go with a 1050ti is if you fell for the used optiplex meme

Attached: 1521222081910.jpg (540x432, 21K)

I paid 120 for rx 570 + dmc5+ re2

>fell for the used optiplex meme
you mean the best deal in computer history?

Unfortunately my PSU blew Friday night so I can't test your hypothesis. I suppose it's really possible to consume less than 80% of a 400w PSU (at 23ºC), but I'm still not sure if it's any way shape or form realistic. You're right about the 570, I just doubt you're right about the 56.

Attached: 20190113_162400.jpg (1992x1121, 134K)

not really, 470 walked all over the 1050 ti on release.

Attached: perfrel_1920_1080 (1).png (500x690, 31K)

Guys, stay calm, most sub 500w PSU from mainstream brands are the same as 500 or even 550w parts.

Do nothing and let the prices climb. Jow Forums actively encourages monopolies and anti-consumer practices by its corporate overlords. People should've seen the writing on the wall with the Titan Z but the message was ignored.

the worst fucking part of the buttmining is that the AMD cards got sold out completely. the 470 should have fucking DOMINATED the 1080p space.

Bought a rx570 8gb for 170€ and it wasn't even in sale. You are a fucking retard.

and yet everyone is buying 1050 ti's because it actually serves a purpose in the market unlike the 570

how much is that in real money

RX 570 on Newegg just $130! comes with free games too!

Are you retarded? The market determines the market price. Go to Jow Forums and learn some shit before talking like a retard.

Novidiots will still unironically buy shit based on branding alone. I hope they all go financially bankrupt since they are morally bankrupt already.

Don't forget that until extremely recently (read: last week) Jow Forums was declaring Hardware Unboxed as an AMD shill thus your image doesn't count.

what a horrible time to be a PC gaymurr

What a horrible time to have purchased a 1050 Ti.

I don't like any of these "affordable" options

This thinking is fucking retarded. 10 years ago I'd kill to get a 1050 ti worth of GPU, and games haven't even gotten better since then. The only thing you need current super OP GPUs is for gay ass AAA games that give you brain cancer from how stupidly profit driven they are. Literally buy whatever, and stop jerking off over having THEBEST.

>low end GPU wars
will you faggots ever stop being pathetic?

The post.

>1080p
what is this, 2007?

Most people still game at 1080p on low to midrange GPU's. It's still relevant.

>*NEW* 1080p doesn't matter

A $129 570 is a fucking incredible deal. Its the besg budget gpu ever released.

Oh thank god it's a dream, I'm gonna try waking up by jumping off my building

where do you think you are, faggot?

How do people claim that there is even some stable price for GPUs ?

RX 570 models range in price from $120 - $240
GTX 1050 range in price from $120-$220

The 570 has always curb stomped a 1050Ti though, fine wine has nothing to do with it.

post the optiplex meme so I can judge whether it's worth it or not

i7 2600 w/1050ti

oh, so buying a used optiplex desktop and throwing in a 75w GPU? yes that's a great deal.

are you claiming gtx 1060 3gb performance is possible at only 75w on the pascal manufacturing process?

better than this?

Attached: index.jpg (300x168, 14K)

If AMD releases something better than nvidia by a wide margin in today's marketing climate, they'll get ryzen media coverage and that'll improve things significantly.
Even if nvidia releases something better later AMD can respond with their competitive pricing and stay relevant, again like what happened with ryzen.
The issue is the retards keep launching mainstream first so the headlines are "new AMD GPUs are almost as good as $600 nvidia ones for $250!" instead of "New AMD GPU is fastest GPU in the world by a wide margin" which the average consumer understands mroe intuitively. Then by the time their late as fuck high end comes the headlines are "New AMD GPUs are almost as good as $1000 Nvidia ones for just $500" or in the case of vega, something way more underwhelming.

Is BFV async compute? Because that really fucks maxwell's shit up good.

Reminder that "fine wine" means AMD is still so shit at drivers that it takes them years to write one that lets you use the hardware properly.

remember the HD 7XXX series? remember the r2xx series?
even if AMD releases incredibly competitive products that are outright better than the competition, Nvidia still has the mindshare in the PC market because gaymers are retarded and fall for marketing instead of actual performance.

>Keeps buying Nvidia products, bitches that GPU prices are now too expensive

Attached: 4518794869836.jpg (474x535, 21K)

I bought a 7950
I bought a GTX970 because of the fans could turn off and it would be quieter and cooler, but I was heavily tempted by the R9 290x
I buy whatever is best for my budget of £200-£300 but yeah people buy inferior products thinking they're better. People are stupid.

I remember AMD launching those cards with terrible drivers so that even a 680 which is hilairously behind the 7970 now could beat it.
But besides that, the marketing climate has changed. Back then actual reviews didn't affect the headlines very much and i think nvidia was paying people off or something because they had a much better control of the discussion. Ryzen showed that the reviewers can control the headlines now and they're very favourable to AMD right now, a lot of them are shitting on intel CPUs for reasons like price for performance and TDP lies which didn't fucking happen last time AMD was competitive with CPUs.
Even now the coverage of the 20 series is mostly "yeah they're fast but fuck they're expensive".

>even games that are specifically optimised for nvidia run better on amd cars in dx12
Oy vey. Surely there'll be a patch to (((fix))) this. Don't worry goys.

Sure you do you fucking autist...
Why didn't you address what he said about the pins you lying kike?

yeah, youtube reviewers have helped a lot with the popularity of ryzen, maybe Navi will change the GPU landscape back into normalcy and mid-range GPUs might actually cost $300 instead of $500

So do 1050ti owners have some kind of cuckolding fetish or what?
