Microsoft - Telemtry

>Microsoft - Telemtry
>Google - Constant tracking across every app and service
>Amazon - Tracking through Alexa, across Amazon.com
>Facebook - Tracking out the ass

How did we get to a place where the only major company that goes out of its way not to track its users is Apple? The company does this arguably to the disadvantage of its machine learning, as we see with Siri.

So you believe they don't see your data.. because they tell you?

And they have backdoor access to all your iCloud data which they give to authorities.

Just turn off iCloud bro

Its all lies. They're in bed with the government, and they find wacky legal ways to tell you they arent infringing on your privacy. you know who doesn't track it's users? GNU Foundation. Use their software instead.

But Applefags surely use Facebook, Google, and Amazon, no?
Also, google.com/search?hl=en&q=apple data china

Because you keep voting for capitalist piggies.

Doh!

Can you show us the source code for apples OSes so we can confirm they respect our privacy?

It's easy to find out what Apple collects on its users. Seems pretty mild compared to the other companies.

cnet.com/how-to/find-out-what-data-apple-has-on-you/

>Your Apple ID account details and sign-in records.
>Data that you store with iCloud such as contacts, calendars, notes, bookmarks, reminders, email, photos, videos and documents.
>App usage information, as it relates to use of iCloud, >Apple Music, Game Center and other services.
>A record of the items you have purchased or downloaded from the App Store, iTunes Store and Apple Books, as well as your browsing history in those stores.
>Records of your Apple retail store and support transactions.
>Records of marketing communications, preferences and other activity.

Concerning law enforcement, Apple still has to comply with local laws. There's a difference between violating your privacy for marketing purposes (Google, Facebook, Microsoft etc) and violating your privacy because of a legal court order. If you're that paranoid about law enforcement looking at your internet history, you can turn off iCloud backup and leave on Face ID and your iPhone is impenetrable to law enforcement.

>he doesn't realise that if you're part of the apple botnet already, you're just missing out if you don't use their features

Turn off icloud = apple can access your data stored on their servers

Turn on icloud = apple can access your data stored on their servers but you can too

Don't forget Tim Cuck trying to justify having Google search as the default. He claims its the best search engine.. so then why does Google even bother paying them billions?

alternatively you could just not buy apple devices :^)

Apple don't track users? Don't be daft.
All American tech companies are in bed with the government, and European ones are part of the Five Eye program, so by proxy shares with the Americans as well.

Linux phones (Not Android), can't come fast enough.

>google
It doesn't even matter if I agree with your premise, opinion discarded

Feels like a lot of people are conflating privacy violations for marketing purposes with legal court ordered searches by law enforcement.

Marketing - Tracking users across services so companies can either sell you more things, or sell your data to other companies so they can sell you more things. See Facebook Cambridge Analytics scandal, Target sending customers coupons for baby supplies when the company figures out customers are pregnant.

Law enforcement - Companies need to comply with local laws wherever they operate. In the case of Apple, users can avoid most law enforcement searches by disabling iCloud backup and using Face ID or Touch ID on their devices. In the US, law enforcement can solicit information from Apple's servers. Law enforcement cannot break into modern iPhones however, and Apple continually works to make iPhones even more secure with each release.

they don't have to see your data to sell it.

Just saying.

Couldn't they just wave the phone in front of your face an unlock it?

Freefag here
Suprisingly, apple releases source code of their OS's when they become obselete (for archival purposes), search it up. But these very well may be modified versions with telemetry code patched out. Regardless of the potential privacy infringement, this is a really good move by apple because it shows their dev team isn't filthy scrubs that leave past OS's in the dirt. When support ends, Microsoft removes all install media and security patches from their site to get people to move on - this just makes life harder for electronic historians (and old computer collectors) and people with special use case scenarios such as software that only works on original hardware on a computer of that day.

Its like how valve and id software (used to) open source their games so that they could be (a) studied and learned about (b) archived for historical purposes (c) kept alive with QOL modifications to work with future systems and (d) modded, recreated and expanded in the form of new content or entirely new games created by the community around the base game.

holy fuck

Apple won't look at your data as it travels to the alphabet agencies.

>apple doesn't track users
This meme again. It's not funny. Stop.
Apple is literally part of PRISM.

Mixing law enforcement with marketing again
