Artfag here. It bothers me that Wacom patented the shit out of any halfway decent stylus technology so noone else in the space can even compete. Competition drives good products and monopoly stagnates them. I want a cheaper reliable alternative to give them the kick in the teeth they deserve. Speaking as someone whos owned 5 wacom tablets over the years

No they actually mastered the art of battery-less pens. Check out their PW100 pen.
XP-Pen makes decent tablets too. Wacom is by no means without competition.
