yes? mpv is an audio player

>listening to music
NPC detected

Compared to foobar feature-wise, you might as well be using windows media player to listen to music

ok retard

Nothing special

Attached: unknown.png (732x428, 65K)

Absolute pleb tier garbage

can you use it on command line?

>listening to music at your desktop
Fucking plebs. Just use your phone.

Attached: foob.png (610x285, 43K)

Are there any good audio players for iOS?
foobar2000 is the best I've tried so far, and I've tried all the ones I could find.

Firefox

Has anyone figured out how to run VSXU within foobar yet?

Attached: screenshot_player_3[1].png (1280x720, 1.07M)

I don't know what am I listening to. Never was interested in music, couldn't be bothered with it, so I download anything and everything I can find, and let the software I wrote weed out the shit ones. It learns from what I like/don't like, because if I don't like a song I delete it without hesitation.
Also your recommendations are not available in my country

it's just generic /mu/ dreck
you gotta get cultured son

Foobar + Georgia on windows
Clementine on Linux
Hiby or UAPP when using a USB DAC on Android, else Poweramp.

I do have a bunch of classical music. It's funny when after Bach comes a dubstep then steampunk then swing etc. It keeps it interesting.
When people ask me what kind of music do I like, I just show them my phone, they scroll through them and get really surprised. They also connect with me, because it's likely everyone will found a song they like in my library, so they will thing we have similar taste

Same here, my playlist is straight-up schizophrenic:
>90s alternative rock
>gregorian chant
>italian baroque
>dungeon synth
>like 40 gb of mozart
>techno
>more italian baroque
>trance
>big beat
>80s/90s metal
>more techno
>random electronica (moby, daft punk, boards of canada, aphex twin, etc)
>even more italian baroque
>90s hip-hop
>miscellaneous movie, video game and anime OSTs and covers
>old negro blues field recordings
>random future funk artists from bandcamp

>goes on /mu/ once

Rate.

The same. Dream about mpv on iOS.

Anyone know of an audio player for linux that's similar to itunes in which you can drag and drop what songs you want in the library?

>gregorian chant
Nice
Where can I download them? I only found 5hour remixes on youtube, but I need sub 5minute tracks otherwise I get bored of it

laptop, ncmpcpp on main computer

how do you show subtitles in foobar?

I know, right? It's the chillest fucking thing ever.
I got mine from rutracker and qbittorrent's search, but I can hook you up with a MEGA of the 5 albums I do have (one is a rip from YouTube, because I liked it and couldn't find a torrent, sadly).

probably a lyrics plugin
foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_uie_lyrics3

foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_uie_lyrics3

Please do sir, thank you

ETA 14 mins.
In the meantime, get yourself an account on rutracker and set up qbittorrent's search engine, you'll never need to scour the internet for a torrent again

Sorry, no can do

Oh well, do it on desktop sometime so you can hide the cancerous ads with ublock (and use Chrome's translate if you can't read cyrilic)

I find it quite hard to navigate through songs when categorized by Album as I have a lot of music. The colours are quite nice on yours I'll give you that

The YT rip one is not the actual cover art, just another album's cover I liked and edited the text out of (pic related)

Thanks mate

VSXU is shit

Any other visualizers you'd recommend? Besides milkdrop, ofc

Attached: mingus.png (752x892, 140K)

I only use ncmpcpp for looking at the playlist, I use the filesystem for navigating.

Attached: 2019-01-13-150153_grim.png (1920x1080, 1.28M)

I accidentally clicked my control pane away while trying to set up foobar.
Anyone know the hotkey or something to get it back?

I'd post a screenshot of my audio player, but it literally doesn't have a GUI. Just make playlists by throwing songs into folders, then it just picks a random song from a playlist. Uses windows key pressed statements, and sdl mixer for audio.

Retarded as it may sound, it's quite nice for gaming, not having to alt-tab out of the game

Simple mpd + ncmpcpp setup

Attached: ncmpcpp.png (621x396, 9K)

just use spotify you losers

Dad stop posting on Jow Forums.

yup same here I use mpc since 2 month, I wont say it is faster to change playlist and stuff but it is definitly space saving, on the terminal !

you got a problem with boomer music?
only like 75% of it is boomer

Attached: a08mvcs5mdvz[1].png (386x500, 93K)

That's fine, but you should listen to more than just the popular hits from those bands.

i do. just haven't gotten round to downloading it. mostly zeppelin tho

What's best way to get cultured? Foobar flac n pitchfork? I want to be pro. How to discover the most pro music?

>pitchfork
Don't get your opinions from a bunch of pretentious hipsters.

Just finished installing ncmpcpcppppc and getting the visualizer working. Don't judge music, just imported what I found on one of my old HDD's from bulk downloads since this install is new. Now gotta figure out what colorscheme I wanna use for ncmcpcpccpp and ranger.

I have the Bach rule where, despite Bach being around 1% of my library, there will be a Bach track in every 15 shuffled songs.
So long as I am blogposting
0-World. Flamenco guitar, japanese koto songs, chinese opera, Goran Bregovich
1-Liturgical. From early medieval choir music to 20th century modernisms
2-Jazz
3-Rock
4-Pop
5-Hip hop
6-Techno
7-OSTs. Admittedly around 60% of my catalogue. They are further catalogued in mood because osts are imitative of real music so their taxonomy should be as well.
You can do that with any decent media player. Foobar has global commands where you can set up, say, ctrl+numpad5 to Play/Pause, ctrl+numpad 8 to random song, ctrl +numpad 7 decrease volume or numpad9 to increase it, etc. You can even make combat/dubstepcombat/town playlists and key them to specific combinations to create a mood.

gross

looks proprietary. Also shit taste in music

good client, shit songs

very nice looking player

Attached: winamp.png (793x509, 92K)

ncmpcpp has so many ways to navigate your playlist, you can set a filter with ctrl+f, search with /. I've also added vim keybinds so I can jump around with ctrl+d/u faster.
def_key "ctrl-u"
page_up
def_key "ctrl-d"
page_down
