Full ubiquiti stack. Wire any desktop computers and a mesh wifi network for mobile devices. Anything less is barbaric.

>best router?
Juniper MX204, hands down
AC-68U w/ Merlin
The one provided by your ISP desu
thanks looks ideal
You can have a router without wireless, dumbass.
unfortunately if I remember right only one of the mini pci-e slots can support SSDs so you might not be able to install both an LTE model and ssd at once, so keep that in mind/research it. you can also buy it with the LTE modem pre-installed if you search around.
PF Sense on some SBC or underclocked Ryzen
buffalo makes good dd-wrt routers
Like this?
you shouldn't have any issues I think though
You can, it's just that it comes with 2 wifi cards. You'd have to lose one of them if you want to run both mSATA and WWAN.
yeah I remember now. mine came with one of the wifi cards in the msata slot so I had to move them around, but someone could easily do a 5ghz/LTE/msata build, plus there's tons of adapters and NAS builds so you could do anything you want really.
Have the archer c7. Had it for 2 years never had issues
anything with RouterOS on it
Can someone hook me up with a good bus pirate?
What's the cheapest openwrt router I can buy? I'll just it for ethernet only and need a openvpn on it
I'm willing to install openwrt myself to save money
My dad has two old Netgear routers that he's about to throw away. Is there anything useful I can do with them?
ยด*SNIP* *SNAP*
this, cheap, solid, reliable. hw wise you only need a managed switch and an ap.
Bought an R6300v2 and haven't looked back since.
>300+ USD for Gbit LAN
>proprietary shit that can barely support openvpn.
Build your own.
Someone recommend me a good but cheap wired gigabit router. Doesn't need WiFi, doesn't need modem. Just something solid, reliable and cheap that has firewall, is configurable and can forward ports.
What's the point of the mSATA ?
No idea if it'll be the cheapest, but look for the most affordable entry-level TP-LINK model that's recent. I've been going with them since 2016 because I heard from a few people that they're a good price to performance brand.
Same as above. Except find one that can have DD-WRT flashed onto it.
Replicators
Literally Netgear. /v/ will rage hard, but they've mad quality for the past decade that shits on everything else from a price/perf ratio standpoint.
watchguard is shit
best router?
A Pentium dual core with 2 Intel nics running pfSense
those are wifi cards. The smaller ones use the mini pcie or half mini pcie. Same interface as mSATA
>turris omnia 2GB model with msata ssd installed
I get the use of wan and wwan cards, bit this guy is talking about using the mSATA for an ssd.
