i think it's the 1px thin borders and it'd look better overall without ranger in the middle. i didn't want to conform to the minimalist meme too much so i retained my thin borders but increased my term padding.

i coded a app that can enhance the photo by doing a reverse dns query on the block chain thus allowing for access to the cgi array. pretty brilliant if you ask me. you can find a copy of the app on my patreon but you get the idea

i was more thinking about the colors. The old-school colors of the wallpaper, and the "modern" black/green doesnt play well. And the anime girl in dunst looks like she is from a different dimension then the pixelart girl. And as you say, the 1 pixel border, it looks like everything except the active window have a border, i would do it the other way around. And as I said in my salty rating post, it shows that you have put time in it, none of the parts are bad, they just don't work with each other here. I really like the rofi layout, and will borrow that for my own drun rofi.

It can run Linux applications now too if your Chromebook supports the feature. It's in beta right now so it has some quirks, but it will get better. Google does a very good job at keeping this OS up to date and it is perfectly usable now as a main machine for the average person.

Damn I remember back when it was just a web browser on wheels. Got me through college being able to remote into my rig from anywhere on campus, and for the price point it was great.
They're so expensive now though I just can't justify buying a new one...

Only Google's Pixelbook and Slate are expensive. I bought some cheap Acer 15 inch chromebook for like... 300 bucks or something. Has a 1080p IPS display and it has no problems playing high resolution content. It's powerful enough for everything I do and I barely spent any money on this thing. It outperforms any budget PC laptop you can find out there. I'm about to start researching developing on ChromeOS and I'll start writing my own native programs for this device.
