What Google services do you use?

What Google services do you use?
Also, how bad it is if I keep logged into my Google Account all the time in my browser? I keep it logged for the convenience of my GMail and YouTube.

I use a chromebook as my main and only computer. I can use android applications and now we have linux support. I like it cause if I get another cheap chromeos device it is already set up when I log in. It's just the trade you do for Google to sell your information to some Chinese Zaibatisu.

YouTube and Google Maps. Because there are no *good* alternatives for either.

If you use google you have no privacy.

Exactly.
I will add Google Translate; and, we must be honest, you cannot go without Google in your metasearch engine.

YouTube, Android, gmail, google maps

GMail, Calendar, YouTube. Privacy is over unless you go live innawoods.

What's wrong with Here maps or OSMand?

>If you use google you have no privacy.
>makes post with googles captcha

Jewtube

I have a GSuite subscription so use it for most stuff
Don't like the way they're headed but nowhere else can you can unlimited storage for $10/month

/Thread

It's a god damned shame

>youtube
just use invidio.us

It helps Google (The good guys) to make a profile about you so they know you aren't a terrorist. Keep it up goy.

I prefer to use a dictionary rather than Google Translate

Literally just a YouTube wrapper

no reply, as expected

>I only tried Google Maps, but I know that it's the best.

Gmail, Drive, YouTube

Google Hangouts
Google Android (on a Google Pixel)
Google Assistant (on Google Pixel, and on my Google Home Mini)
Google Chromecast
Gmail
Google Drive
Google Docs
Google Chrome (& Google Chrome OS)
Google Maps
Google Translate
Google Play
Google YouTube Premium (and YT Studio and YT Music)
Google Play Music
Google +
Google Pay
Google Calendar
Google Fit
Google Photos
Google Snapseed
Google Keep
Google News
Google Authenticator
Google Tasks
Google Chrome Remote Desktop
Google Podcasts
Google Find My Device
Google Allo
Google Clock
Google Hangouts

It's the life anons

this so damn much
i literally seethe when I'm looking for a restaurant or some store on iOS maps and its not there but only on gmaps!

At least youtube on iOS is way better than on android

>It's just the trade you do for Google to sell your information to some Chinese Zaibatisu.
except it doesn't. they do sell it but not to the chinks, thats Opera

YouTube, Android, Gmail and recaptcha.

>Have 3 different Gmail accounts (work, play, throwaway)
>Have a nice Chromebook that I use all the time
>Use YouTube for music streaming and finding new artists
>android phone with stock ROM
>Google Maps
>OK Google

Strangely enough I dn't use Chrome other than when I'm on my chromebook. I use Firefox with uBlock origin on my desktop and phone.

youtube gmail google drive (to store hentai)

Yandex and bing translators are good alternatives.

I think this guy is posting ironically, but I'm actually pretty much like this.

Hardware:
>Pixel XL
>Google home
>Home mini
>Home hub

Services:
>Docs
>Cloud compute
>Google music / YT Red
>Photos (I have 17k photos and videos, mostly porn)
>Drive
>Sheets
>Maps
>Fit
>Calendar
>Translate
>Keep
>Assistant
>Remote desktop
>All the other default play services apps on pixel

These are just the services I use regularly. I let Google location track me and have seperate Google accounts for porn and normal browsing so I have a search history index.

I think I get why there's concern, I just decided to take the compromise. I mean, I try to use open source when I can and if I ever feel paranoid I have a tails key.

I just genuinely don't think I'm going to get Aaron Shwartzed... I trust that my constitutional rights won't be breached, my privacy may be at stake, but I'll gladly sacrifice it for convenience. I could easily make do without, it's just really cool to use services that rely on aggregated data, as well as to view that data yourself as a way of self journaling.

>to store hentai
I've always wondered if Google looks inside your Drive. Like we all know they have the ability to. But do you think they just choose a Drive at random, pot luck tier, and take a look?
>Save more Hentai to your drive account
>Log in one day and see a note that you didn't make
>Google employee #82354-A
>"patrician taste my dude"

based and botnetpilled

I know the G+ bit was ironic, but I really wish that would've taken off. It actually does social media rather intelligently, as far as sorting people by their actual relation to you.

they prolly do desu but drive is too comfy and i've too much stuff saved to switch now

>how bad it is if I keep logged into my Google Account all the time
not bad at all if you have nothing to hide :^)

wasn't 'here maps' the app that windows phones used? they're quite good, honestly.

>Here maps or OSMand
It uses outdated maps, and doesn't integrate google search, google navigation is more accurate and there's google traffic.

Gboard, say what you want.
Google voice recognition is superior to anything else, I use it as dictation device to convert voice lectures to text on the google docs, which is shared BTW, and anyone who have a question can add it to the file.
Also there's this babe that make diagrams of key concepts.

I didn't post it ironically, i legit use everything i listed which includes all that you listed, except i missed out Cloud Platform, but i'm only a CS student so most use i ever got out of it was to get a key for speech recognition API for a hobby home automation project
I like the idea that it's more like VK than Facebook (read more like a combo of Tumblr + Facebook if you don't know what VK is)
the way you have public pages that are kinda like blogs but not quite on a variety of topics is just neat, and it didn't feel like a group on Facebook, which is also neat, it's just a shame that i only got into G+ 2 years ago or so, so by that time very few of those pages were kept updated
i might be super wrong and if i am, fine, but i kind of trust Google that they don't sell data, it doesn't make sense for them to, it's much better business sense to keep all the data and improve data gathering methods so that you can then provide ads for others, it's effectively like renting vs buying, if you sell all the data then you don't have the customer (the business you're selling data to) in your pocket as much as if you just tell them that you'll do ads for them.
And if they are selling data they could face the worst repercussions imaginable.

Oh shit this too, it's not even funny, i can't even remember all the services i use

Google Recaptcha, we all use that one

I use gmail for spam accounts, that's about it.

I use google for searching for images, usually NSFW stuff because DuckDuckGo has a limit on the number of images it will pull up. While google supposedly will furnish up to 1000.
I use Gmail sometimes but its rare, pretty much only when I get a notification on my phone.
> I NEVER USE google drive, or google plus
> ill download shit from other people's google drive but thats it
Youtube is used sometimes, but its usually for gun videos, or for grabbing music from videos so that I enjoy consistent free mp3s like I have since the mid 00's.
I tend to watch the gun videos on my phone.
I tend to look up videos for music in my browser in a Private Browser Window so it doesnt affect my normal reccomendations.
> my phone has no service, I only use it on wifi
> this thread reminded me to plug it in my charger too, so thx
very rarely ive used google for the translate function, but it does come in handy

anons thats called a monopoly
also mapquest is okay though its still about the same quality it was 5-10 years ago when I used to use it then
why the fuck are you using their calendar function?
> google play music
is it for the streaming or for just playing your own saved mp3s?
I think Musicolet is better for playing music.
> google photos
I use Simple Gallery, its got an orange style icon.

i use it for both, but i'm slowly migrating to Spotify, next phone imma get will be one with an SD card slot so i can just load my library of .FLAC music on it and use that in conjunction with Spotify

i need Google Photos for cloud sync

Thats a service that Jow Forums is using.
Im not using it, the site is.
> no private party uses recaptcha, unless they've got a site and they put it on their site.
you dont need to sync your cloud though
use a damn usb cable and copy shit to your computer
> he uses FLAC

The botnet terminology

back in 2015 i had a main google account where i stored cp on the google drive and it got banned,so, trust me, they do look into your drive

GCM, and the occasional captcha when I post on 4channel

I'm not like super picky about music quality but if i do download music over torrents it may as well be as high quality as i can get, i have an alright pair of headphones, a DAC and a tube AMP, i obviously wouldn't carry all that shit around with me but high quality is just high quality and i don't see why you'd go with lower quality when there is no advantage to it
>you dont need to sync your cloud though
i don't want to copy shit to my computer, i just want it to be accessible on my Google account from any device (and i have a lot), how i can just take a photo and have it instantly be on my Chromebook is a really big timesaver, and i have a job that takes 1.5 hours to get to and from, so any minutes i can save during my free time is a big difference to me, same with Google Docs and Google Drive, i only wish my DSLR could just be synced with Google Drive so i can use up my 1TB with uncompressed photos from it.
>Uses
Well i interact with Google reCaptcha, so i'd say that makes me a user of it, even if i don't host it on my website specifically, i gotta pick those damn traffic lights so
I uploaded movie rips and vidya to it and so far so good, i guess as long as it's not super illegal they don't care

i use pic related at work, mainly gmail, translate, search, hangouts, calendar, docs and sheets

All of them as a secondary, usually try to use opensource options or scrapers by default.
