What do you use, Jow Forums?
I recently started using linux after getting a laptop and put debian on it.
Looking for a good one with a lot of customization.

Rxvt-unicode
Just get one of the big ones then. Konsole, gnome-terminal, tilix, Terminator, etc. They offer tons of features out of the box.
If you want more in-depth details, take a look at gitlab.com
rxvt-unicode is good if you're new to linux, i recommend trying st at some point too st.suckless.org
st
>emulating terminals
for what purpose? why dont you use an actual terminal?
termite.
people will shit on it, but it does what you need in a really simple fashion and config is super easy.
Not enough room on my desk.
they're all the same m8
Terminator master race reporting in.
what the fuck are you talking about
A real terminal is a hardware terminal
Computer terminals are pretty unwieldy, user. I'd have to move my printer to fit one on my desk.
Konsole is the most balanced one
Prove me wrong nogs
I dunno, uxterm I guess?
I just picked it at random, did a few tweaks like setting font and colors and never touched the configs since then
Just werks
just started using st recently. Anyone know how to make shift-insert work? For some reason it isn't working and it's very annoying.
What? I thought modern thin client terminals were small. On the topic, what is the difference between a virtual console and a terminal emulator?
Use Alacritty, OP! Enjoy those GPU-accelerated optimizations!
Can't even fucking set the window right on startup let alone neofetch.
You lied to me in the font thread it's like I'm using fucking hyper.
>not using real mode vesa framebuffer vt
kill yourself
gnome-terminal with zsh desu
Fun fact: xterm is less bloated than rxvt.
Fucking apologize faggot
emacs
Konsole
In what way?
Konsole/Yakuake
kitty on osx
generally urxvt on linux
Smaller binary size, less LoC, kind of the same dependencies. People test that in other distros so is confirmed.
st, muh minimalism
If you like minimalism, try Qodem, is smaller than st.
Kitty
I’m writing my own. It’s slow and shitty and barely has any features. It’s fun to make your own things.
>less LoC
That one I know isn't true. See pic related and the original post:

i tried to add a real fullscreen mode to st and that's where i realized that i don't understand Xlib
unix was orginally designed as a mainframe OS to support users remotely. Even the administrator of the OS would use a remote terminal.
Konsole because bless thee whom beith Kool
Mmmm, this conflicts but can't deny what is in front. Thanks for sharing.
