But you didn't have any friends to talk to, user
i did, but they are all gone now.
>discord hides half its features behind a pay wall
>still 1% of what MSN used to have
>retards pay anyways
>pic is not of Yahoo Messenger
I used AIM but all the people I talked to on it are gone now. The ones who haven't outright left my life won't respond to any of my messages on current social media or take calls. Not sure what I did wrong but I guess people just outgrow you
what i truly miss in todays instant messenger software is the ability to set my status to offline while being online.
there is an agenda behind removing that.
Worse, they'll let people know you've read their messages.
>change my status to offline on facebook
>the entire chat is disabled and cant read the conversations
Yes, but have you watched this 54 minute retrospective of former Microsoft engineer going through all the MSN versions?

Because you are faggot. That was a botnet. If you want find a whore, just use tinder or okcupid.
Whatever happened to Widgets they were like the coolest shit ever, I wish it still existed
why there is always one loser that gets mad at others for missing MSN.
they do but you have to use third party support now.
its another reason why i dont see any point to switch from W7.
Because you are praise thing that made cancer stronger today.
explain

>give IM with private conversation was focus and webcam option
>circlejerk with "cute" females in leadership or nearly of that grow faster than number pajeets on India.

>using proprietary software

I loved to draw hentai picture with pen drawing and sending them to my friends.
Then Microsoft broke the feature and subsequently killed it because, FUCKING SURPRISE, no one used it anymore. I fucking wonder why?

Miranda was the shit man, so many plugins and emoticons nobody but me could see
incompetent programmers and the annoying trend to deliver only working products rather than finished products

>accidentally nudge her
>she says ?
>close window and log off

I used pidgin starting with linux, and then used it in windows too
Shame I wasn't popular enough to use it much :(
>that feeling when the MSN icon in your taskbar is highlighted because your oneitis just messaged you

so... can anyone explain to me how they made money? MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM and other. They literally provided a service for free, there were no ads until maybe mid 2000s. How was money made anons?
Ads, you said so yourself, and before with the .com bubble investments
>talking to crush during summer in college
>notice she started being offline more and more
>eventually 2 weeks went by of her being offline
>get suspicious
>check her facebook
>she mentions she had a great time talking to someone on msn
>what
>mfw i was online that day and clearly saw her offline during the same time
>use something to detect if ive been deleted off her friends list
>yep
>felt horrible. deleted msn. never looked back
sadly that was my last memory of msn. 2010
>2010
I havent used IM services since 2007
>ads
Did it really devolve into that? I used it occasionally, although it didn't have ads at that point.
that was the point of my question i dont remember there being ads at all, and if there were, surely the profit of the ad print couldn't compensate the cost of maintaining such a service
