The most exotic tool I own is a crimp tool for these connectors I found in my travels for cheap, similar to pic. These tools cost like $600 without the solid metal "positioner" at the end to hold the gold pins for crimping, bringing the cost to almost $1k or shit.
A beautiful tool. The ratcheting click it makes when you squeeze it is so satisfying as to be near sexual. Been meaning to get some of the connectors surplus to incorporate into a project some day.
