no loss. I don't really play games all that much but I have a metric ton of options the times I do. There's games like Warzone2100 and Openarena and Xonotic and supertuxcart included in the distributions repos and there's a LOT of games on Steam and then there's the massive catalog of MAME, NES, SNES and Sega games. Just trying every game would take years even if that was all I was doing every day.
One minor detail you should be aware of when it comes to Warzone2100 is that the current release can't into scaling which makes the toolboxes tiny on 4k. The unreleased git version has implemented scaling and looks great on 4k.

Dirt Rally exists but it ain't free, you just pay €35 to play. Tuxracer on the other hand comes with distributions so I guess that's why wintoddlers make troll posts about it being the state of gaming on GNU/Linux. I'm not sure why, it's not like Windows comes with a ton of free games.
