write games, don’t play them

Is Factorio Jow Forums approved?

I had fun playing it but development is so slow and apparently there's a new game that will BTFO Factorio but I can't remember its name.

hacknet if you feel like a skid

Satisfactory, but no I've played the alpha and it's meh
Also Epic Store exclusive so there's a 100% chance it will flop and nobody will care by the time they start begging Steam users to buy their game

Xonotic
Openttd
Openrct2

custom maid 3D

Supertux 2
SuperTuxKart
GLtron
Armagetron
Minetest

also flare and hyperrogue

Based. I wish I could've grown up on UT99 but I grew up on UT2k4 which I've played for probably thousands of hours combined. I still run my own invasion server since the hosting costs are so cheap.

where do I get it?

Man, that looks to be a blatant Factorio rip off, except it's in first person.

Try this one, but I'm sure if it's Kira Kira or Kira Kira Curtain Call.

If that doens't work try this.

Also, download the font hack, the default font it's absolutely awful and makes me want to cry.

Good luck user.

thanks user :^)

0ad, it is free and open source. Despite it being in alpha it is playable start to finish on regular multiplayer skirmish mode with friends and bots. The AI is also surprisingly good.

Games are for niggers.

Just write actual software. Playing shit like factorio simulates the engineering process with none of the real life payoff.

Mount&Blade Warband

M-x tetris

Why can't Wintoddlers contain themselves to the four video game boards we made for them?

This. You play nethack when you're taking a break from DF.

Uplink.

I picked this up again the other day for some reason.
MMOs are such a fucking timesink, but it was a nice hit of nostalgia.

Marble Marcher if you want a good-looking raymarcher demo, though gameplay isn't really refined.

Underrated post

Brutal Doom for action
DoomRL for strategy

DoomRL has less than ten hours gameplay, there's nothing to it once you beat it once

that was like the worst BattleField.

I love that game OP. Definitely in my top 5.

Deus Ex

These are just the games I play the most kek. I actually happen to not need Windows for any of the games I play these days; and have played since before knowing of Linux's existence

I played a shitton of Ark: Survival Evolved when it was in beta. my friends were playing and they had a linux port so I got it.

The only Jow Forums approved game is Orbiter NASSP.
Honorary mention for Falcon 4 and some other sims.

Ah I bet you're one of those "it's just a gore mod!" people.
What people like you don't realise is that it's all the other tweaks that make it so great. Tweaked speed, enemy attacks and attack patterns, weapon balancing... the aesthetics are a nice bonus, but just a bonus.
Honestly if there was one thing I would take out, it's the executions - a funny novelty but they break the flow, literally snapping you out of first-person. Ironically, the worst element of brutal doom is the one Bethesda developed the hardest for the new game.

Bzflag
Quake3
Ut2k4
Star Wars Battlefront 2

That's simply not true, the challenges are hardcore and keep you going, and the game is shockingly deep in terms of learning curve. I've logged hundreds of hours, and I'm still learning.

last time i played years ago it was "get shotguns and win"

On an easier difficulty, if your only goal is "reach the end", then yeah probably the best way to go. To be honest, unless what you're going for directly forbids it, shotguns are still the best route (specifically nano-shrapnel build), but it's by no means easy. Besides it's the challenges that provide the fun in longevity. Like trying to beat it pistols only, for instance.

No love for Red Alert 2 here guys?

I played the shit out of in in the 2000s on LAN

If theres a modern recreation of it maybe.
The old RA2 code is a garbage dump, westwood werent good at clean portable code.

If I had to choose one game among my list to play over any other, it'd probably be Project M.
Do you play over net play desu?

2142 was sooo fun. I think I had more fun in 2142 then BF2 I put so many hours in both games. I stopped playing after BF1 I played a lot but lost interest. I havent even touched bf5 but as for Jow Forums approved. It would be whats in the picture
