Good feet. Good OP.

Please no more feet posting in OP. There’s only one autist here into that.

Takstar pro 82 for 42€ yes or no?

Ignore this autist. Keep posting headphone feet.

First for sennheisers!

>Got first portable DAC/Amp
>Everything sounds WAY better and i'm not limited by the max digital volume
This is so great, I can actually hear soundstage and individual instruments
Can't wait till my real headphones arrive

Oh wow! I got some headphones that seem better than Beyer-dynamic by a lot!

Are you fucking blind you twat

One could only hope given the cost of a 009.

I just purchased a JDL-ATOM Amp, and it arrived to my house today.

I'm just wondering if their is something wrong with it, because for what ever reason, my PIONEER JDM-300's Headphone jack and volume seem to be powering my Beyerdynamic DT770 250 OHM headphones far better, and far louder than the ATOM can.

Is the volume supposed to be this low on it, because I find it extremely odd that a mixer is powering my headphones far better than an actual Headphone Amp can.

imagine being such a boring human being that you need to throw your money away on useless crap cause you have no other interests in life

Did you use high gain?

Ouch. This really hurt my feelings. It has caused me to reflect on my past decision making. I’ve concluded that my spending on audio equipment has been folly. I am ashamed, but also somewhat grateful to you for pointing it out.

58X, don't get an amp. You'll need to bend the metal parts of the headband to make them comfortable.

Also, if you're smart enough to keep an HD 202 in shape for 15 years you can probably be trusted to appreciate the good stuff. The Stax stuff.

what does that mean

is this going to become a thing with these threads?

EPIC BENCHMARK MUSIC.

Received my DT1770s today, will return them tomorrow.
This is the wrong headphone for me in so many different ways:
>headband feels like it wants to drill a hole down my skull
>leaks a ton of sound for a closed headphone
>earpads are too thin and don't feel great on my skin
>coiled cable gets in the way of my hands/mouse, "straight" cable might as well be coiled because it's so springy it's impossible to route neatly on my desk
They sound great, but the comfort and other issues are unbearable for an all-day headphone to me.

are you user with the es100?

Well they aren't really noise canceling or anything. Usually higher end closed headphones don't include that or have a good way to isolate you. The clamp force is pretty strong but it might improve with the book technique.

What's the sound like and you have any other headphones to compare it too?

No.

How did you find this video? Are you its creator?

Yes, for some reason it just doesn't sound as loud. The only thing I can think to do is hook the thing up through my headphone jack that's on the front of my tower but my motherboard might not support the plug that I need to use in order to make it work.

2nd Amp I've ordered where the mixer destroys the volume of them both

Well you might as well return it as soon as you can then. JDS labs atom should be pretty powerful and if yours is getting louder then it might be better. Except with some picky low impedance headphone don't like high output impedance from amps which may be bothering if you do get a headphone like that. But I don't think so. I guess yours is better?

no, he posted his yung lean cover on reddit a few months ago.

im posting it sort of like a make a wish thing

>Well they aren't really noise canceling or anything
I don't mean sound leaking in but sound leaking out. Have tried both the velours and pleather pads (which by the way are an actual bitch to get on properly).

>What's the sound like and you have any other headphones to compare it too?
Comparing to my first gen Mad Dogs which I've been using daily for some years, it definitely sounds more detailed. The have more and tighter bass, but I think they lack mids comparitively because female vocals sound less loud. They have way better soundstage.

I'm okay with chink shit as long as it never touches my body for longer than a few seconds.

I use my porta pros daily and I love the, especially how well they stay on when I jog. Audio fidelity is wonderful but the on ear drives do make my ears hurt after about an hour wearing them.
Any suggestions for a full ear headphone similar to porta pros? As in relatively cheap with high fidelity and actually stays on your head.

>exercising
get out normalfag

is he using a sennheiser mic wtf?

>full ear headphone
they will get sweaty and gross though

Why not try IEMs? They're great for exercising, though it might be bad if you need to hear your surroundings because they isolate so much outside noise.
Shure SE215 are great value.

>though it might be bad if you need to hear your surroundings because they isolate so much outside noise.
the earstudio es100 has an ambient sound mode which mixes in the audio from your surroundings using the mic

In ear memes are for fags who don't mind their bass sounding like shit.

Anything cheap you autistic cunt who the fuck cares about audio quality when you're running and who the fuck would spend more money than chink shit is worth on stuff you're gonna sweat on

for jogging? ksc75 but it might hurt your ear after a while too so uh maybe something like this amazon.com/dp/B00LU1RFLU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XH5pCbD0B59N1

I like listening to flac while jogging with the dog, it's beautiful where I live, plus with headphones on people don't bother me when I hike into the ski village.

As a metalhead let me teach you a secret about full size headphones : those that are actually comfortable won't stay on your head at all. Those that do stay on your head are the type that have vice gripping clamps.
If you really insist on exercising with headphones I'd thus recommend something like the MSR7 solely on the basis of the vice grip.

so who's brave enough to get roped in to this shit? also are the cb-1's any good? considering it to replace my m40x

Attached: placebo.jpg (800x450, 44K)

Thanks for the suggestions all, sounds like sticking with porta pros is going to be my best bet, and then buying something higher fidelity for longer listening sessions at home.

On the same topic, has anyone noticed the newer porta pros are way cheaper build quality than the old ones? I've gotten 3 or 4 replacement pairs, and compared to the old pair, the band is thinner and cheaper, the plastic is cheaper, the cord is much much thinner, shorter and the plug seems much flimsier.

I own SE215s and I prefer them for music over my headphones, even for rap.

please help
On my desktop I use an old school Sansui reciever to power some bookshelf speakers.
It goes from Mobo Audio to RCA to speakers, and headphones usually get plugged into PC.

I was considering getting a DAC/AMP to go between the PC, something like a SCHITT JOTUNHEIM.

Is there something similar for less or should i go with the schitt? I'm only powering a SR325i and dont see myself changing anytime soon.

bost bics if you got all of them still

pathetic larp

Why do you want one?

Sadly I had to turn them in to get the free replacement.

nice try I've had my m40x's since 2013, it's broke now just want a replacement at around the same price

Koss is unfortunately in trouble as a corporation trying to make money. Let's just say the people who are managing the brand have never understood how to build upon their own strengths.
The loss in build quality is an unfortunate side effect of them not actually being that profitable and having other sorts of trouble like this :
>Diversification into related electronics areas in the 1980s ended in disaster for Koss, who filed for bankruptcy protection after a net loss in 1984 of $6 million. Koss emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in 1985.[2]

>In 1991, Michael J. Koss, son of founder John C. Koss, took over as president and chief executive officer.[4]

>In December 2009, former vice president of finance Sujata "Sue" Sachdeva was charged in federal court with wire fraud after the firm discovered her embezzlement of $34 million. Sachdeva was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison.[5] She was released in 2017 after serving six years.[6] Koss was forced to restate five years of financials.[7] It was able to recoup over $12 million from its former auditor, from Sachdeva's credit card company, and from auctioning Sachdeva's stolen merchandise.[6]

They used to be very popular not just among mainstream consumers but also studios and so on. On the mainstream consumers side, they wouldn't even have needed to do much to stay relevant: taking the sound quality of the PortaPro and 75 and putting it into a more modern, hip, post 2k type of design and marketing would have done good enough. They've never actually done that though. And do things that don't make sense like the bluetooth portapro.

The m40x didn't even exist in 2013. Troll harder.

nice try

>"""she"""
>steal money and serve only 6 years
>koss have to still pay her after she gets out

what kind of cuck law is this? im kinda mad now

So I'm not using my motherboard to decode my audio?

What's wrong with your motherboard?

Any other reason you want to waste $400?

Do you just lurk here trying to convince people to go to the other thread?

I think you guys are in the wrong thread.

>I think you guys are in the wrong thread.
Go ask anyone else in this thread user. This isn't sbaf, or head-fi.

I even just hooked it up through my Headphone jack on the front of my Tower to see if that would help, and the ATOM is still not as powerful as my Pioneer JDM-300 mixer.

People really talked this thing up like it was the second coming of Christ, and an old Pioneer Mixer from nearly 8 years ago sounds better and has far more volume goes to show you that you should take everything with a grain of salt that's said on this board.

please

youtube.com/watch?v=K9F5xcpjDMU
I don't think you can hear bass anymore anyway, boomer.

In comparison to my motherboard audio my atoms does get louder. But I'm not well known with your mixer so I can't really say much on it. It probably is better or idk. I'm not the biggest advocate of amps/dacs unless you absolutely need one.

Audiophool

Hey I know that meme song :)

Mixers have more wattage duh

3.5mm male to male jack on my SHP9500S is dodgy and only works properly when the cable is pressured at a certain point at one end of the cable (right up next to the jack), otherwise the audio is muted in one can and shitty in the other. Anyone know if there's anything I can do about it or am I better off just getting a replacement cable?

Attached: 26-138-190-09.jpg (1280x960, 75K)

I thought I did need one because people swore the 250OHM version of the Beyerdynamic's absolutely needed a headphone amp to drive them or make them sound good, but it doesn't appear to be the case at all.

Well now I know.

sometimes you do, laptops for example

Headphone amps generally speaking have less gain than professional equipment. They're not designed for much.

>male to male
gay

I have DT 990 250 ohms. They do not need an amp at all. I literally seen it every time on leddit saying they need an amp and nah. I mean on a budget phone I had I needed to turn it up to 60% sometimes at MOST but my onboard is fine with it at 20%.

Cables are cheap, buy one. In the meantime try using some tape to keep the "posture" of the cable in the ideal position.

Yeah I've currently got a tea mug on top of the cable holding it in a particular position. Thanks lad.

SE215 has boosted bass and is intended for nigger music

That makes sense, I don't know why I got so convinced it would make my audio sound better. If anything, I'm taking the refund money and putting it aside for two more Studio Monitors.

How old are you user? And how did you find out?

rip nvm I thought you said you couldn't.
