Why have you not upgraded to R2R NOS DACs yet?

It's like you want to hear pre and post ringing

is the nfb 11.28 good for my he400i?

Lads audio gd anything is a bad choice
2 of their DACs have been measured to be shit

What's a good one for a surround sound setup

>surround sound setup
receivers

I doubt any are up to the same standards as these

>2 of their DACs have been measured to be shit
There is literally 4 manufacturers of audio DAC's, and they all are going to sound pretty much the same.
I still think Wolfson produce the best, but I would settle for Burr-Brown or Analog Devices. Cirrus Logic has too many problems, plus they are preferred by Apple.

akm is the best right now

>akm
New to me.
They seem to have about the same specs as Wolfson though.

Trinnov altitude maybe, it seems to be of "high standard" you seek for multichannel.

R2R is a fucking joke

it's added complexity with no tangible improvement

(OP)

Nah for me its the Asahi Kasei AK4497eq DAC pushing DSD 5.6mhz ( supports DSD 22.4 mhz )

do you use the super slow rolloff?

ALL DACs that don't clip or do retarded things with the clock are perfect.

Into some of these

>literally nu-tech

this is for you

dude, it's not about the chip being used. It's about the implementation. They all don't sound the same. Check out audiosciencereview and you will see how poor they measure against other dacs using the same chipset. They all throw out different numbers and it's not just about buying a chip and calling it a day.

> knows his filters

Muh Nigga i find "Short delay Slow Rolloff" beats the rest for musicality and is the default option on my DAP

it's actually a downgrade the way audio gd does it.

thehehe NO. They are in this thing.

depends what you mean by perfect. audible threshold or measurement wise?

i wish onkyo receivers would let me choose filters, i would buy another one if they do in the newer models

Dummies spending mad $ on dacs when the ODAC is 100% transparent and free of audiofool woo magic.

both. the speakers are the bottleneck in any digital system.

audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/audibility-thresholds-of-amp-and-dac-measurements.5734/

not if you have good speakers/headphones. most dacs are pretty trash specially in the budget range which can be audible if you listen out for it.

yeah thanks for that.
