I enabled some stupid option in 4chanx that makes it scroll to the newest reply on a thread update. It keeps interrupting me when im reading posts. I dont remember the name of what i enabled.

I have a 4 year old pc build with a i7 4970k, ddr3 ram, and a mid tier mobo. A great psu though. Will anything bad happen if I upgrade my gtx 970 to a 2080ti? Even if its underpowered/bottlenecked it will still work, right? And prob give better performance regardless?
