HD 600
Gaming:
K702, K7xx? maybe DT 880. HD 598

Which one would you say is the most durable?

What the hell is windows spatial sound and should I use it for listening to music?

Topping D10 > 006tii > 404

Some Gay windoes Shit and no

That's a tough one... HD 600 is the best in terms of replacing parts. You can literally replace everything on the headphone. The headband, the drivers, the earpads, the top headband cushion. It's very user replaceable and will last you long time. But the headband is notable to snap if you spread it out too much on purpose.

K702 I've heard complaints that there is some kinda of durability issues although I'm not sure on the K7xx. DT 880 seems sturdy BUT. The cable isn't removable so it's an easy failure point unless you want to resolder a detachable cable it could be perfect.
HD 598 has a detachable cable but they aren't user replaceable as much, just the earpads I believe and I heard the earpads do flake off from amazon reviews.

It's mostly your choice. I got the DT 990 and will probably learn how to solder down the road but in the mean time I'll just try to treat them as carefully as possible. If you like the sound I might say the HD 600 for longevity. It also pairs well with tubes I heard.

you forgot he said
>closed back headphones

>>closed back headphones
.........
fuck
LOL
CLOSED
NOOOOOOOO I just looked at the other user and saw neutral and went at it.

Most closed headphones aren't as neutral. There's always HD 569/HD 598 CS.
I don't really hear much good things about neutral closed headphones off the top of my head. I'm sleepy. M40x is neutral ish..........
I really can't think of anything that's good and closed and neutral.

Everything else is placebo
You cannot argue this

770 pro

Well maybe the Fostex T50RP MK3 for neutral. And the QC 35 II seems pretty flat if he doesn't mind bluetooth and has it on all of his things.

Len pls stop threatening me. I love you.

WHOS LEN? ;_; I thought we would be cute lesbian anime girlfriends together with me, rin?

>And the QC 35 II seems pretty flat
nice one sapphy

Quick Reminder: Balanced Headphones out on 4-pin XLR are 3dB more resolving, that's DOUBLE. Why not try before you decide?

Attached: 4 Pin XLR.jpg (327x154, 5K)

>nice one sapphy
it was a guess no hurt plz.

explain how you quantify more resolving in dB

sorry i'm gay

Goodnight user

the daily life of a staxlet

Depends on implementation, ideally there's 6dB of free information between RCA and XLR (balanced) input plus 4-pin Balanced out to the Phones. But I use the RME setup, I figure 3dB for free. KEEP IN MIND: IT'S THE BOTTOM 3dB - It pushes your S/N from 110 to 113dB, but it's like it lifts the whole song up. Sorry you can't hear it.

Attached: DSC03624.jpg (3888x5184, 955K)

nah Im using them for music now lol

>but it's like it lifts the whole song up. Sorry you can't hear it.
Holy mother of placebo

>it pushes the noise floor from inaudible to inaudible, but the difference is so audible
lay off the whiskey you mongoloid

Maybe So. I probably spent $100k+ on audio in my life to get here. Not counting media! I'm trying to get you to at least Topping DX7 plus HE4xx, but if you don't wanna, you ain't gonna.

Why the fuck would I want to buy a piece of shit chink DAC and a piece of midfi shit chink headphone when I already have so much fucking better you dumb boomer. Kill yourself.

Different user here. Why are you so mean?

Because this faggot has been spamming about fucking balanced for threads and threads and threads and spamming the place with random unrelated pictures while drunk. He’s fucking cancer.

Share so I can learn!

Attached: 20180425_212109.jpg (4032x3024, 713K)

006t?

Shut the fuck up, you’re not here to learn anything, you’re here to spam and spam and spam about balanced. Fuck off.

I have hearing loss in one ear. About 75% if I had to estimate. The doc said that with my condition it's safe to balance the volume in my headphones, increasing the volume in my bad ear. Problem is, I have to crank up my amp to about 90%, switch on the high gain, and turn the balance down in the good ear about 75% for it to sound normal. I've already blew up a pair of DT880's which lasted about a year.

Any suggestions on some headphones that can stand up to this? Something with bigger drivers?

DT700's are doing ok so far, but when I level the audio back out for my GF she says that they cup that's getting driven harder is now naturally louder than the other.

Just trying to help: Try Balanced

Attached: 20180616_142038_028.jpg (4032x3024, 249K)

what made you think balanced was better? when did you first try it?

Try suicide.

if you have to blow up headphones to get music loud enough then your doctor was wrong and you should stop immediately before you go fully deaf

I'll follow your example; after you.

If you’re so stupid that you need a demonstration perhaps you should ask your mother to teach you.

It's a Cable. Try It.

Attached: 20190104_140550.jpg (4032x3024, 491K)

It’s a rope. Try it.

Attached: 7FBDFE05-514F-48D4-9123-1E87F09FFB42.jpg (1536x1092, 154K)

It's conductive hearing loss. Boosting the audio with headphones is essentially the same thing a hearing aid is doing, which is amplifying the audio.

Perfectly safe in my case, just trying to understand what headphones would be able to take the abuse and still be accurate.

So Much Hate! Tell us what you're listening to so I can avoid being Mad.

answer my question, what was your first experience with balanced

>So Much Hate!
Cringe

You already are mad you fucking mentally insane boomer.

Im a different user lol and this is my first experience Zdac to 006t

I’m goinf to spend like $100k on a stereo system later this year

I use my Stax to listen to La Monte Young’s The Well-Tuned Piano and there’s nothing you can do about it.

What will you buy?

There are only two reasons to go balanced, ever.
>You need more power/headroom
>You have persistent ground loop issues

Attached: 1504397065428.jpg (611x508, 71K)

For me it's the HD580, HD600, and the HD800.

What are some nicely built vintage headphones? I don't want the giant plastic aviation headset looking shits.

Either Wilsons or avantgarde
Mcintosh amp/pre if I go with Wilsons and tube amps I’d i go with avantgarde

Is it basically impossible for full size headphones to match the bass of IEMs?

kannon

skullcandy crusher 360

Weird

Bully me so I dont buy the GSX 1000 amp and GSP 600 headset bundled for 250.

I just need to replace my 5-6 year old Sony PS3 headset and im disappointed the GSP 600 isnt wireless so I cant literally shit talk my friends while I shit.

>headset
OH NO NO NO NO

What are the best headphones for listening to this album?

Attached: mbv.jpg (500x500, 55K)

This one, it's better than stax.

Attached: beyersissy.png (1080x1317, 315K)

Just a friendly reminder that Stax headphones are audiophool garbage.

$4000 SR-009 was rated lower in blind tests than a $200 K701
aes.org/e-lib/browse.cfm?elib=17441

Even best Stax headphones sound objectively worse than mid-fi, kek

Attached: 1546498796183.png (1027x1369, 784K)

Is that a bondage device?

I used to get really strong interference with my DAP and headphones walking through security metal detectors at train stations.
After switching to balanced cable (and new DAP) I don't get any interference.

That seems more like HD650 over HD600. See the treble delta is larger.

Stax has the power handling you want as well as balance adjustment on the volume pot.

Your headphones probably blew because they were plugged into Schiit desu

Sennheiser shills are the absolute worst thing ever. If all I'd known was a HD6 I'd think this hobby is full of shit and cheap headphones would be the only thing worth buying.

Me in the middle

okay so I want to build a DIY amp for DT 880 pros.

Any suggestions on what will compliment them.
