Welcome to Microsoft, here's your new office.

It's not an open office it's the grave you choose.

because people are extra productive when there's almost 100 of them shoved in one massive, loud, noisy as fuck echo chamber

thanks for the 500k total comp boss

>larping this hard
Even if you had 500k that would be only enough to rent tiny apartment.

>coping this hard
yikes

Nightmare fuel

How do you fart in an office like that ?

Dominance hierarchy.

I don't understand why a tech company would have offices like this when they have a high number of people on the spectrum. People with aspergers and autism can have very high sensitivity to noise and you have this big ass room where you can hear everyone laugh, goof off, and talking. That would be a fucking nightmare for someone with the tism.

They don't want people with autism, regardless of technical ability.

Microsoft does. They have a whole division surrounding the idea of employing people with autism/aspergers. Those that are not the highest functioning of tism even have a Microsoft work mommy that comes around to check up on them and chat.

no

I see a target-rich environment.

Work from home master race.

Bc spergs are on their way out. Having autism never made anyone a good software engineer, it was just that only autists were interested in the field before it took off. This is a normies world now bye bye

surely a fire hazard

>Having autism never made anyone a good software engineer, it was just that only autists were interested in the field before it took off. This is a normies world now bye bye
That's false. At least from my observation, autist are the best in the company I work in (like me) when it comes to raw programming power. They are not too good in talking with clients though.

>that Chad with no balding, proper posture and solid facial structure in the middle

lol

if my job would be commercial shitposting I'd take this office any day. I'd have some gay porn running on my other screen all the time and whenever somebody is complaining I'm going to fuck this bigot's ass raw

so much gay on one pic

thank god I have a cubicle. also a killer view but that's just secondary. would rather be alone in a dark windowless room than shit like OP.

Man, that triggers my ocd hard

>They don't want people with autism, regardless of technical ability.
that's absolutely bullshit if you are good google will even clean your apartment and basically keep you alive

>Bc spergs are on their way out. Having autism never made anyone a good software engineer,
please be joking

Good point. With all the desks and shit everywhere if there's an emergency it would be hard to leave in an orderly way.

Is this just about the horrific layout?

I think it’s actually simplification of programming languages. Python and JS, two of the most popular languages, make it trivial to accomplish some pretty impressive computing feats. Back then, syntax was much more abstract and required at least some knowledge of how a register works and what compilation entails.

what do you expect, they work at facebook. should the most normie company ever be staffed by antisocial neckbeards? no

Sucks when you hit the bathroom and forget where your desk is.

Ironically I don't work in It but my office has a refrigerator, oven, toaster, griddle, coffee maker, sink and microwave.

Downside is noisy air-conditioners and dirty.

Why is it treated like animals

This looks like a fever nightmare.

Isn’t late stage capitalism great, Jow Forumsuys?

Sure glad i took on all that student debt for undergrad, masters and/or MBA

The boss promised me that the common equity will be a big windfall after the IPO

>google engineers live in trucks on the street
Jinkies

Sad but true.

People who manage other people are often extroverts. They feel like shit when they can't talk to someone.

Looks comfy.

Are you a blacksmith by any chance?

Unironically would rather be a social worker helping the homeless than stuck as corporate slave.

>late stage capitalism
An absurd term coined by those who somehow think humans might outlive capital.

>humans might outlive capital.
humans existed before capital and will exist after it, unless all humans somehow die before civilization.

Naive humanism.

Attached: __ ___.png (141x46, 5K)

>exist after it

haha get it? Apple is GAY!

>when they have a high number of people on the spectrum
It's 2019, chads are the programmers now

Time for a game, Jow Forums.
Count how many people in this image are actually doing work.

I work in a silicon valley office almost exactly like this.

Every day is a challenge. We even have a team that plays music on a speaker throughout the day. There's also a slack channel devoted to song requests so I hear EDM most days. There's a Stacy planning her trip to Coachella, constant conversations, smelly food, people spying on others, etc. The conference rooms are even walled with glass, meaning everyone can see whatever zoom meeting they're in. My only peace is leaving the building or finding an empty spot. Without headphones you're in for a long day.

0/10, would not reccommend

>We even have a team that plays music on a speaker throughout the day. There's also a slack channel devoted to song requests so I hear EDM most days.
Sounds extremely uncivilized. Play your shit on an icecast stream or something. Does nobody complain about it? Do you actually get any work done? I mean not you personally, but the company as a whole.

why are they all just checking their email? isn't there work to do?

good headphones seem essential for that type of environment, fuck

A lot of jobs consist of mostly email.

Theres a 10 hour video of complete silence. Just get to work at 5am every day and queue that.

I actually work at Facebook! DESU, Building 20 is just as bad as you think for productivity. I work from the Seattle office but I go down to MPK at least once a quarter, and I can tell you for a fact that Building 20's design is objectively bad for your productivity. The Seattle offices were better designed in that they are still open offices, but areas are broken up in a way that doesn't give you the feeling of being in a sea of 6000 desks. Even with that though, you NEED to buy Boze QC35s if you want to stand a chance of being productive in an open office like this. It's such a necessity at Facebook that there is a 1 time headphone reimbursement that you can take that just so happens to be the same cost as Boze QC35s.

By just letting it rip. Fart as loud & deep as you can so it echoes off the damn walls to display dominance.
