Start out by getting used to the terminal as you will need to do a lot inside it. I recommend learning how to open your file manager as root (admin) by typing :
sudo nemo .
in the directory you are in, then from there you can drag your files around like you are using windows. This is quite useful as a lot of things will require you to be root while doing it, but if you just use the GUI it should make stuff easier.
To install stuff you just generally can google it, most stuff will be
sudo apt install appname
If you press tab it should autocomplete packages, so you can use the autocomplete as a kind of "search" if you know the name, to see if it exists.
But you can also just open the "software store" and click them for most things.
Other things will need a "PPA" or for you to build from source, but you [should] be able to leftclick .deb files and install them using apt

OP: You can open graphical installer by typing sudo su and then rm ~ in a terminal.

I'm trying to update wine so I can run fusion 360. It tells me I need a higher operating system to use to run it.
How the fuck do I make sure that the latest version of .dll files are not just sitting on my computer and not actually in wine.

user, I don't use wine often, but I'm sure there is a guide on youtube or the wiki. I'd hate to say it but you need to do some reading on your own. The manuals and docs are your friend user.

I only use wine for my gaymes. Linux usually has alternatives that are on par with other software (not including gimp, like what the fuck. fuck gimp)
