Alcatel Verso
>battery life is terrible
>screen is inaccurate and annoying to press anything
>noticeably slower than my previous phone that was 3 years old
>speaker on the back
>front camera is useless
I can't wait until I can throw this into the trash

I don't own a phone. It's great.

>amazing battery life
>fast and responsive
>durable build quality

Sent from my Pocophone F1.

>galaxy s5 sport
Its a galaxy s5 but red and there's no fingerprint reader and you can't use the s5's induction charging backplate. it has a removable battery, sim, sd card, and headphone jack. You can root it easily enough. It'll run any software you actually need, usually without screwing up; if it can't run it, its probably a game, so you probably didn't need it. The camera is adequate for just taking clear photos of stuff from the point of view of someone who isn't important enough to have a blue checkmark on twitter, but it needs a lot of light. The front camera is fine for video calls, not for instagram selfies. There was an upgrade to android 5 and then to 6. 5 was an improvement, dunno what 6 is like, but 5 is fast and responsive enough for me to not really notice any lag....once youve rooted it and cut out or froze the bloat, because the phone only has 2gB of RAM. You really can debloat it effectively though.

Moto G6
It's okay

iPhone 7
It’s okay. I still prefer it over androids literally only because of facetime and imessage. It’s the only reason I use my phone besides music and email. Everything else can be and should be done on a computer.

Moto G5+ on LineageOS

Best phone I've ever had. Never does anything I don't want it to. No frills or bullshit. It just werks. Has enough power to emulate whatever classic titles I like. A true workhorse.

BlackBerry Passport
- battery life is trash
- non-removable battery
- IPS display
- BB10OS app support is lacking, on the Android side less apps are supporting Jellybean
- no micro HDMI
-no ac Wi-Fi
+ physical keyboard trackpad
+ BB10OS
+ neat as fuck
+ stereo internal speakers

HTC One M8
>Had a decent battery life for the time, not so much now
>Speakers are crisp and loud if you need that
>Camera is awful but just passable for the basics
>Screen is cool, at least not an issue like the M7 was
>No notch, has a headphone jack, SD card slot and IR blaster so alright
>It's still relatively fast if you keep the KitKat stock ROM, otherwise...
>Custom ROM support is garbage and you lose a few features by using them, only the stock Sense or GPE should be considered which is bad

>playing games on a phone
Why would anyone emulate on a tiny screen.

To kill time

pixel 3

I love it. Fingerprint reader makes it easy to unlock. Good camera with supernaturally god-tier image+video stabilization. Plain android from Google with no carrier shitware, and gets updates immediately straight from google. Wireless charging means I just set it on its stand at night. Though even if I decide to plug it in, USB C means I never again have to experience putting the cable in the wrong direction. You don't know how good it's to never have to do that again until it happens to you. It automatically joins open wifi networks (while using a google vpn) and only switches traffic to them after it checks their quality.

Cringe.

Samsung s6 edge
>battery life between 1.5 and 4 hours
>takes 10 minutes to boot
>takes 2-3 minutes to load browser
>sometimes crashes when viewing open windows
>only charges with screen facing down
better than my old motorola razr. Glad I upgraded

LG V20
Literally the thinkpad t420 of smartphones.
The last durable and easy to repair flagship with removable battery.
Running RR-OS ROM, having 4100 mah li-pol battery installed, gcam with night sight works on both wide and normal cameras.

Attached: IMG_20180814_124615_682.jpg (1280x960, 193K)

I don't see what the issue is

My phone, fuck off. I don't have to explain shit to you.

>Why would anyone emulate on a tiny screen.
...It's bigger than my Vita's screen. Why not? Perfect for GBA and SNES.

Zero compromise phone.

Mate 20 pro
>Pros
Phone is fast and snappy.
Battery is huge and charges quickly.
Camera is the best I've seen from a phone.
>Cons
Emui
Locked bootloader
Probably spying on me

>Adreno 506
>SD 625
>>>True workhorse
Absolute state of Jow Forums
Absolute state of motomemers

asus zenphone 5
>works great
>amazing battery life
>camera is slightly lacking, considering the reviews and the optical stabilization
>Zen UI is fucking trash, notification bar is always white and full intensity, so using it during the night is hard on the eyes.

Pixel 1 XL
- battery degradation has taken its toll but after restricting every app besides important ones I can get through the day on mix usage with power saving on
- Getting updates straight from Google is pretty cool.
- Don't have to root the phone to remove manufacturer/carrier spyware. Disabling Google apps is piss easy.
- unlocked bootloader (Google edition)
- disappointed with no SD card and no Wireless charging, despite Google charging the Pixel phones like flagship phones. (In fact, Pixel still doesn't have SD card support and it took until the Pixel 3 to get wireless charging)
- Despite the phone mostly being lackluster compared to other 2016 flagship phones, what really sets the Pixel apart from something like the Galaxy S7 (which largely features the same components), is that ALL software updates for future Pixel phones, all pixels get the same update. This means the amazing new Night Sight camera mode functions perfectly on the Pixel, revitalizing the camera taking much better photos. And it's not just camera updates, it's all software updates besides bug fixes for particular models. This sheer fact alone means the longitivity of the phone will outlast others for a few more years.

garbage touchscreen registering, headphones pop out too easily, and keeps restarting on its own, but at least the camera's decent and only needs to be charged once a week

positives
>great battery
>great display for watching the haram in HD
>pen surprisingly useful
>3.5mm
>no notches
>sd card
negatives
>samshit bloat
>samshit assistant button literally unremovable or reprogrammable
>expensive
>no android 9 for non-pajeets
>no aptx-hd
neutral
>speakers are alright
>camera is alright, don't really care about it

>physical landscape QWERTY = i can text fast as fuck
>not available on any modern phone
>voice quality 10/10
>allows recording of phone calls
>everything else sucks

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite
>good battery life
>stock android
>fast and responsive
>good display
>shit wifi speeds on android pie due to some bug

LG K20 Plus
>no-bullshit bootloader unlock
>unofficial 64-bit LOS 14.1 but it works and runs beautifully
>camera is shit unless you have perfect lighting
>power button on the back is also the fingerprint reader, unlocking is easy as fuck
>battery lasts the entire day with heavy use

For a free phone I got from my carrier, I can't complain.

Samsung Galaxy s5
>60 hour battery life (2.5 days)
>Great phone when rooted and degoogled
>works fine and does everything you'd expect it to
>removable battery
However!
>no slide out keyboard
>can't focus on close-up objects with camera
>amoled screen showing it's age after 5 years -- screen flickers on lowest brightness setting

Xperia XZ3
>Good OLED screen with amazing post processing for video
>Stereo speakers and good amp/DAC for headphones
>Android 9 and reasonably fast updates
>OS mostly clean, with no shitware
But,
>No headphone jack
>Slippery like a wet soap with no case
>Camera is just decent
>Bootloader unlock makes the phone lose all of its nice features, like video and audio post processing and the camera becomes practically unusable. This makes no fucking sense especially since Sony provides easy ways to build AOSP for their devices.

If Sony would just get their heads out of their asses and take advantage of their huge ecosystem, they would probably make a shitton of money. It still baffles me that they haven't provided a way to stream PS4 games to their phones, even if the hardware is all there. I don't even own a console, but it just makes sense. They could also even have an exclusive streaming platform with all of the media that they own, with special enhancements for their phones. But I guess that would make too much sense.

>One plus 5
Just werks

iPhone 6s 16gb
pros:
>perfect size
>after enabling every battery-saving feature excluding power-saving mode, location, LTE and reduce motion i gets me through the day with no problems
>headphone jack
>IOS is snappy and just werks
>fingerprint reader is awesome
>apply refunds my money on the second for every app I buy and the apps still werk
>camera goes above and beyond my needs
>am cool in the eyes of thots
>bought it used for 200 Euros with a brand new battery and in perfect condition
cons:
>none
>could really use some more storage

Galaxy s8
-replaced bixby button with Mute button and it just fecking werks

>ZTE Axon 7
Pros
>Build quality is rock-solid
>great dual front-facing speakers
>headphone jack
>Expandable storage on top of already enough storage
>Good performance two years after purchase
>Good battery two years after purchase + fast charging
>Video IS is great
>OLED 2K screen
>free case is immensely useful
>cheap
Cons
>Image quality from camera is ass in slightly-low light
>without any case, the slipperiest phone in the world

OnePlus 6T
Good one.
I really can't see anything bad in it for now (I've used it for one month now).
Extremely fast with good oxygen OS, good camera (not the best, but it's 600 bucks phone).
I don't care about lack of headphone jack.

Chink phone
Pros
>Cheap
>Good build
>Nice battery

Cons
>Strange UI
>Hard to explain

Moto g6 plus
>has stock android with some moto additions that are not shit
>sexy design
>ok battery life
>18:9 screen makes it easier to use the big ass screen, but still not even close to the supreme comfiness of a small screen like the moto g1
>performs pretty well except for two bugs I've noticed so far
>wasted dual camera with a dedicated depth sensor (nothing useful like a telephoto of wide lens second camera), and even so, portrait mode is kinda shit
>slippery as fuck, the glass back makes it really hard to hold it comfortably without using an ugly ass case

Redmi note 4 Global
>shit (and I mean ultra shit) camera
>good everything else

what happened to mid range flagship killers

i dont want my only option for new phones to be $900

Nokia 130 (2017)
>2/4 week battery with music on sd card and texting/calling
>screen and back are resistant to the point that I can't even take the battery out without a tool
>the keyboard works, could be better but it gets the job done
>has almost no features, which makes it a really solid phone

>camera is shit, but I removed it anyways, the phone (smartphone or dumbphones are NOT cameras)
>I can't easily write the firmware, since it uses weird MTK compression on the firmware, and the firmware flash process is weird, but I'm looking onto it
>comes with free "trial" games, they aren't an issue at all, but I'm working towards removing it at the firmware-level

Attached: Nokia_130-Hero.png (1842x2000, 1.56M)

Redmi note 4x
>good battery life
>good specs for a very low price
>the camera with Gcam isn't that bad, it just isn't good
It's not too bad, it's a budget phone that will allow you to watch high quality videos without shreds and with a nice amount of storage + being able to browse shit constantly for 2 days without a charge. Anyways, I'm buying a Mi 8 pro now, since I want a nice camera.

Is there a phone with the following settings

1- USB-c power
2- 4G
3- Has hotspot mode
4- NOT A FUCKING ANDROID GOOGLEBOT PHONE

Basically a dumbphone which can share internet with my laptop

>iPhone X plus
Horrible piece of shit I only have it because girls don't want to see a green bubble.

just get a portable 4g router hotspot, they sell those on ebay and amazon for a very low price and do yourself a favour and get a basic dumbphone.

Just install anything without GApps

Nokia E51 (2007)

>feels comfy in hands, not big
>shit just works even after 10 years (hello hello android dogs)
>battery lasts only a few days
>no proper audio jack

Only use it to see clock or receive SMSs

Attached: Nokia_E51_Phone_Black_Nero_Schwarz_2.jpg (3557x2371, 266K)

I also need it as a phone though

Xiaomi A2 Lite
Pros
>Good battery life
>Stock Android
>Fast and responsive
>Expandable storage
>Headphone jack

Cons
>Front camera sucks
>Micro USB

Xiaomi Mi5s

>basically Pixel 1 hardware for 300USD back then
>still get 5h SoT
>on Miui.eu Oreo rom, works great
>GCam works great, prob because its hardware is equal to the Pixel

I can't find any reason to replace this phone in the next few years, it does what I want.

the firmware, radio and many components are still proprietary you retard. and the surface attack and the very exploitable nature of a monstrosity of an operating system that's android make it vunlerable by nature.

I don't believe such exist, 4G dumbphones are uncommon, let alone the ones that have the ability to hotspot. I'd also suggest getting a thinkpad with a SIM slot or a USB modem if you can, if you only need internet for one laptop OTG. Or just get the portable wifi router as I mentioned.

This but also e-mail+ telegram/signal clients

I don't use my phone for much else

I have a thinkpad with a sim slot, but the wwan only works with windows now + I'd need to get another data plan for that

>4G dumbphones are uncommon
Maybe with 2G being turned off it'll become a thing

M O T O G 6 P L A Y
-Battery life (2 days with wifi off, cellular on)
-Fine screen (720p, but it's too smol to care)
-Finger print reader (on back of phone, occasionally need to type in password for no reason)
-Bad camera (blurry, bad colors, slow)
-Touchscreen buttons (gross, get in the way)
-Big size (Switched from iPhone SE, miss that size)
-Micro-B charging (Really wanted to switch to C, but kindle and DS4 are also micro anyway)
-Speed (Fast enough.)
-OS (Google botnet)
-Storage (Ate my mSD card. Only 32gb now. That's enough)
-Cost ($200 normally, $150 with Verizon activation (don't get verizon))
Overall (It's alright, I wish Apple didn't start cucking the SE with updates)

I really hope 2G remains a thing, it's too common in too many places of the world that haven't embraced the (((electrical jew)))

iPhone 8 Plus
+Perfect size
+Nice screen
+Snappy iOS
+TouchID
+Great battery life, for now
+AirPods

-Might end up having shorter lifespan than average Apple device
-Price and repair $$$$$

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Global
>was 150USD
>no lag, mic/speakers/antenna just werk
>camera grainy in low light, but in good light the results are satisfactory according to my thot sister, not that I care as long as I can do wade readable pics of notes
>battery better than flagships
I like it.

How shit are we talking?

LG G6
Pros
>Fast fingerprint reader on back
>Headphone jack
>Rooting available
>USB-C
Cons
>Slight burn-in after a while, it disappears though
>Lots of bloatware
>Meh battery life
>18:9 aspect ratio

>Storage (Ate my mSD card. Only 32gb now.
That's enough)

>Redmi note 4 (mido)
>>Great battery life
>>Front camera sucks
>>Metal body, cheap plastic on top and Botton
>>Speaker are not that High
>>Miui 10 sucks but fingerprint+Miui is faster than FP+custom ROM
>>Custom ROM and gcam are a must

OnePlus 5 128
cheap screen/digitizer compared to high end devices ( for example even compared to an ancient Nexus 6, it shows the cheaper construction)
meh sound from small speaker
ok once, now meh camera

stock tempered glass is great at protecting, but having black stripes on the sides, hinders visibility
battery is not bad at all, 5hr sot time at least ( up to 7)

fantastic fingerprint reaction time in every possible situation
rooted
perfectly set up
no bugs/unexpected behavior

feel good phone

I just want an updated op5 with a quality screen/construction and dual front speakers

bought a poco door my father, cool phone, really enjoyed pixel experience Rom, instantly turned off by the screen ( and the depth of it compares to the glass you touch)

iphone xs

Pros:
>perfect size
>OLED
>screen has this pillowy-soft feel to it, really nice glass
>every photo in natural light automatically looks good
>huge battery life + wireless charger at my desk = it feels like it just has infinite battery
>makes Jow Forums butthurt

Cons:
>constant accidental screencaps cause of apple trying to do too much with three buttons (grabbing the phone out of your pocket constantly screencaps because you naturally grab both sides of the phone, putting pressure on the side buttons)
>overpriced
>notch is dumb and does impact design. You can never tell from the top bar if you are connected to bluetooth because there is no room to put the symbol, yet apparently Apple thinks I want half the top bar of the lock screen dedicated to reminding my my carrier is AT&T. What a waste of space.

I just realized I've had it for about three months and have never plugged it in. Pretty neat.

>apply refunds my money on the second for every app I buy and the apps still werk
explain

Note 3

Pros:
>It's the ThinkPad of smart phones

Cons:

>Nokia 3310 3G (2017)
>Unbeatable battery life (I only have to charge it maybe every 2 weeks)
>T9 dictionary is kinda iffy, missing a lot of words
>Camera is a bit garbo, but it works
>Calls and texts
all in all, pretty good dumbphone.

>Sony Xperia XA1
Pros
>Good bang for bucks
>Camera better than what I want for the price
>Camera trigger allows for AF to do it's thing when asked
>Battery life on idle goes up to weeks
Cons:
>Shit battery when doing anything that's not idle
>Sony's bloat is awful
>No wireless charging
>Wtf is that shit for a keyboard

Overall, it's nice for the amount I paid (no more than 300€) but there is definitely things that could have been improved

Note 9
pros:
Its a nice phone

Cons:
-phone is made from fucking teflon. Extremely slippery
-That fucking bixby button. Samsung why

Samsung Galaxy Note 9
>Best of everything except the camera which is okay because I don't take pictures
>Battery lasts forever

>9/10

>Galaxy S6
Cons
>shit battery life, but I swapped in the S7 edge battery for 40% more capacity
>no micro SD card, but I have the 64GB version
>samshit, so basically no software updates, but I flashed S8 port from xda pajeets
>glass sandwitch, but it has wireless charging
>fucking slippery, it's a miracle I didn't crack it yet
Pros
>still 10/10 display even in 2015+4, bonus points for non-meme aspect ratio
>great camera
>unlocked bootloader, easily rootable
>no on-screen buttons
>great DAC with the Exynos version
>suprisingly fast and smooth for a 4 year old touch-wiz infested samsung
Everyone shits allover S6, but I'm pretty happy with it over all.

- Weird Samsung NIH shit instead of being pure Android
