Why run Ubuntu, Manjaro, Fedora, etc. when you could just install LARBS and get it over with. Everything you'd ever need, while retaining true minimalism.

Arch linux is not minimal!

yea ok, what if I need a computer to actually DO something?

Arch linux isn’t minimal and the devs themselves have stated on mailing lists that it never was

baiters baiting baiters

Shut the fuck up becuase you obviously don't know what minimalist software is. I had to install Arch from the ground-up AND post-installation. And you're telling ME that Arch isn't minimal? Don't make me laugh.
Typical enraged bloatnigger.

I installed Arch Linux on Virtualbox (I followed his video) and then ran the LARBS script and then rebooted and I still get the basic login screen with no i3 WM.

Pape?

Does it come with thinkpad support? I had trouble getting my fan to run properly when I installed Mint even after installing thinkfan.
I know this might be a "stupid" question but thanks either way.

Hey luke is my lxqt rice any good?

SJWbian

Debian is the universal operating system

debian is garbage

stop shilling larbs. Tired of this fucking thread reappearing over and over again. Fuck off luke.

Arch takes 10 mins to install
Gentoo on the other hand is more customizable down to the kernel but not too difficult for people who find lfs difficult

7/10

installed fedora on my x220. it's the most heavy distro in terms of ram usage (thx gnome), but by far the most easy going and silent - cpu fan is literally never turning on anymore, unlike ubuntu, manjaro, antergos and opensuse.

Hi Luke
