For storage NextCloud just works (if you spend $30 for a rock64, one evening to set it up (that's being generous and assuming you have no experience), and have decent internet). ANY (((cloud provider))) will be botnet, no sane person here would recommend mega or yandex

They are singlehandedly holding back things like progressive web apps so they can keep profiting from the app store. Not to mention apps in general, and their entire ecosystem and browser is impossible to work with unless you own a mac.

See the facebook scandal, which for (((some reason))) nobody in the media connected the dots and pointed out that this scandalous horrible thing is also done by google everywhere at all times.

I've been in the process of changing over to Mailfence. Check that out if you don't need like a ton of storage space. Even if you do, it's not expensive. But it's a good alternative.
