I'm trying Musicolet right now and after clicking on the song name it shows the entire cover art and duration which is irritating, I just want to listen normally.

Shuttle has been my favorite, but I recently switched to Vinyl Music Player which is a fork of Phonograph but with all premium features for free. It's very good, just as good as Shuttle in my opinion. Its available on F-Droid too.

I've never had this problem with Play Music

It happens when I connect my phone to computer by USB. Sometimes GPM thinks that some old tracks from my playlist are newly uploaded, so they disappear from playlist. They are in Recently added auto-playlist.

I use the pre installed samsung music player on my android.
Alternatively i use AIMP, which has a good look and provides a good playlist showing bitrate and playtime, without bloating it.
Cover art is also included.
